18.01.2022 Congratulations to Mrs Pam Whebell for winning the Qld Synod's Ecumenical Award, announced this afternoon. This acknowledges her significant contribution to inter-church relationships through serving 10 years as admin officer at Qld Churches Together, and other involvements across Qld with her husband, Rev. Don Whebell, when he served as a Presbytery Minister and Moderator. Pam and Don are members at Beaudesert UC. She wasn't able to be present at the Synod Office to receive the award but it will be presented to her by the Moderator before long.

18.01.2022 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT Introducing Gold Coast's newest suicide prevention program - The Way Back Support Service. On Wednesday we officially launched The Wa...y Back Support Service, which will provide three-months-of-support in the critical period after someone has attempted suicide. The service, designed by Beyond Blue, will be delivered by Wesley Mission Queensland. 06.01.2022 With sadness we advise that Rev Dr Noel Preston AM - retired UCA minister, ethicist, author, educator, academic, eco-theologian and social justice advocate - passed away peacefully at home early this morning with family around him, after a long illness, aged 78. Details of his funeral service to be advised. Please keep his widow Olga Harris, sisters Adele, Pam and Elizabeth, and children Lisa, Kim and Christopher and the extended family in your prayers.
