24.01.2022 17 years ago today we celebrated our wedding with family and friends in Sydney! We pretty much hang out and/or work together every day and our life together on the South Coast is mighty fine . To be honest the 20th December tends to be a pretty busy day in hospitality and there have been years where we have got to Christmas Day and realised we forgot our anniversary!! . Survived a tough year for our business in 2020 and all that hard yakka has brought us even closer togeth...er. . 07.01.2022 This week we celebrate our 7th Birthday at SOUTH on Albany! Firstly a massive THANK YOU to both our families for all their support. It is a big leap to open your own business and their encouragement during our formative years studying, travelling and then all across our working lives has been invaluable. We love you! . Big thanks also to our close friends and family that helped us with the set up 7 years ago... design, furnishings, painting and all those finishing touches...! . Big big thanks and virtual hugs to all the amazing farmers, producers, makers, artists and all our suppliers - both big & small. We are so lucky to work closely with you and showcase your food, wine, spirits and beers on our ever-changing menu. . We have worked alongside some wonderful chefs & waiters across the years. Some of them entering a restaurant environment for the first time & others that have landed in our doorstep with a wealth of experience already. What a bunch of brilliant people . Thank you, thank you, thank you ! . And then of course our locals, regulars and visitors that have always shown us such incredible support! Essentially when you dine with us you are visiting our home and within those four walls we share our favourite dishes and drinks with you!
