24.01.2022 Ride routes for the coming week. It was definitely aliens that helped construct the WaterTowers. No-one in Doubleview would have the skills for that.

24.01.2022 Zwift Meetup for M1/2 on Saturday at 7am. We stay together for 53kms then you get to try your luck on the KOM! 2.5-3w/kg average, but as long as you pedal you will stay with the group.

22.01.2022 Zwift. The Pros rate it. https://www.southperthrouleurs.com.au//riding-with-the-pr/

22.01.2022 we are good to go in groups of 10. still no club rides yet, but this is definitely a step towards reopening the club.

22.01.2022 Hi all, In addition to SPRs cancellation of all group rides, please be aware that there are now formal & legal restrictions on group riding with *anyone* you dont live with. The consensus advice from WestCycle is that "No group or organised ride of any size should take place, any planned group ride must immediately be canceled and no individual should participate in any form of organised group ride."... The formal document is available under "Preventative Restriction of Activities" in the link below - see section 7(e). Daniel

22.01.2022 We cant wait either ... :)

21.01.2022 Ride routes for the coming week. Its still not normal, but its a weird socially distant normal. Still better than riding by yourself.

17.01.2022 Ride routes for the coming week. Sorry the blog post is a bit dark at the moment. I worry when I see what is happening in Victoria that we will soon be back to restrictions. Ride while we can, but do things responsibly and look out for each other.

10.01.2022 The SPR committee is proud of the community that South Perth Rouleurs embodies. Equally, at times we feel it is necessary to speak up in support of those values and to provide leadership around expected behaviour within our community - whether that is online or out on the bike. Have a read of our latest post that discusses our commitment to the clubs core values.

10.01.2022 the club has decided to hold a extraordinary AGM to form this years committee. it is important for the success of the club that the right decisions are made as we recover from the coronavirus shutdown. please read the blog so that you can understand how we intend to run the AGM and email through a nomination if you want to help the club navigate the post COVID-19 landscape.

06.01.2022 And so the 2020 challenges continue. In light of the worsening weather conditions we have decided to postpone the WaterTower Challenge till the 11th October. The rain may or may not eventuate, but the strong winds along the coast will be with us all day. In the interest of rider safety postponement seemed to be the obvious choice.... All entries will be honoured for the new date and we will reopen the registration portal to allow people to make any changes. This includes refunds to anyone that will not be available on the new date, due to holidays or other event clashes. I sincerely apologise for the late notice, but we have been holding our breath all day for the weather to change. I will be down at the registration point at 6am tomorrow to ensure that if anyone didnt receive this message understands what is going on. The club appreciated your support, and we will try again in a few weeks. Peter President South Perth Rouleurs

06.01.2022 In our "unprecedented times" we all need to learn how to adapt to the changing conditions. Our AGM was cancelled this year due to social distancing measures so we have moved to an electronic format. The new blog post explains how we are running the AGM and provides a link for members to vote, request a report and ask questions. Voting remains open till midnight Saturday 23rd with the new committee being announced on Sunday 24th. Please take the time to read each of the nominees profiles and cast your vote to build a strong committee to navigate our way out of the restrictions.

05.01.2022 Ride routes for the coming week. Another successful ToMR for the teams and volunteers that headed down. Well done to our Men's 2 team that came away with the silverware.

05.01.2022 ** Relaxing of Restrictions Update ** WestCycle is aware of Premier Mark McGowans announcement this morning about relaxing certain restrictions currently in p...lace. At this stage, the Public Health Act amendments are not yet available to provide absolute clarity that this change means people can ride in groups of upto 10 people. We are endeavoring to confirm this as a priority. In the meantime, we urge all riders to abide by the current guidelines of riding with no more than one other person from another household. We will revert with confirmation as soon as possible. See more

04.01.2022 Ride routes for the coming week. Enjoy the new freedom while you can but be smart about what we do. Look after yourself and, if you can, someone else as well.
