24.01.2022 COVID PROCEDURES FOR THIS WEEK'S GAMES The following map highlights the entry and exit points for both the Monday night and Thursday night competitions. We ask that you only enter the field of play 5 mins before your game start time through the entry points. We need to manage the flow of players on and off the field and require your assistance to achieve this in a simple and o...rderly manner. Spectators must remain behind the boundary fence line nearest to the car parks or cow paddock. Players will sign-on at their field. There is no need to go to the clubhouse before your game.

24.01.2022 CORONAVIRUS UPDATE All games currently scheduled for tomorrow night will progress as per the draw. The current advice from Sport Australia on community sport is that "exercise and participation in sport remains an important part of physical and mental health for everyone. For those who are well, they should continue to be active by engaging in exercise and playing sport."... Safety measures do need to be followed to reduce the risk of infection and protect others from the virus: - Hand hygiene is the single best action. Wash your hands regularly with soap and water. - Use hand sanitiser before and after games. - Do not share drink bottles. - Don't openly sneeze. Sneeze into your elbow or a tissue and dipsose of tissues immediately and sanitise your hands. IF YOU FEEL UNWELL, PLEASE STAY AT HOME!

21.01.2022 TOUCH FOOTBALL AUSTRALIA STATEMENT ON THE RUNNING OF COMMUNITY COMPETITIONS - COVID 19 In light of COVID-19, Touch Football Australia (TFA) has developed a position on the running of Touch Football competitions around the country. Based on an assessment of government and health department information that has been released to date, TFA advises that competitions or events of under 500 attendees in the one location at any one time can continue to run.... It is recommended, however, that all attendees (participants, administrators, spectators) take sensible precautionary measures, such as: not attending if you feel unwell or have a cough, fever or shortness of breath; wash or sanitise hands regularly; covering coughs or sneezes with your elbow or a tissue; and, as always, do not share drink bottles, towels or whistles. For precautionary tips go to https://www.health.gov.au/

18.01.2022 Tomorrow Night's Games & COVID-19 Games at South Pine Touch are continuing tomorrow night, at this stage, and until we receive advice that no longer supports social sport continuing. We are in close contact with Touch Football Australia who have been in meetings with the Federal Minister of Youth and Sport, leading health experts from the Australian Government Department of Health and Sport and Australia's CEO with National Sporting Organisations, the experts advised that co...mmunity sport could play on. There are health and mental wellbeing benefits that participating in sport provides people and communities. There appears to be some confusion around social distancing - we have been advised that Social Distancing is about avoiding close contact contact that involves 15 minutes face-to-face, or being in the same room as others for two hours or more. While spectators at Touch games should practise social distancing by remaining at least 1.5m from others because they are likely to be in static close proximity, players on a field do not have prolonged contact. We do suggest that unnecessary spectators are limited during this time. The Community Sport Guidelines recommend NOT handshaking, hugging, kissing or sharing high-fives. No sharing water bottles AND IF YOU FEEL UNWELL STAY AWAY.

18.01.2022 RETURN TO PLAY We are gearing ourselves up for a return to play in line with stage 3 restrictions of the Queensland State Government's roadmap to easing COVID restrictions. Stage 3 should come into effect from Friday, 10 July, and this allows for the return of community sport with a limit on the number of people allowed at the venue at any one time. As we approach this date, we are currently putting together our own COVID safe plan. Once we have the final details on this we... will communicate this further with our touch community. Players will be encouraged to GET IN. PLAY and GET OUT. Like us, you are no doubt keen to get back on the field real soon, however, this must be done in a safe and orderly manner. Stay tuned for further updates.

18.01.2022 All set up and ready to go. Welcome back everyone.
