24.01.2022 TIGERS WRAP UP Another great result overall with another solid performance from all grades for Round 7! With 4 from 5 grades getting the win on Saturday. We fell just short of the clean sweep again but can feel it is due real soon ... PRESIDENT PLAYER OF THE WEEK **Bilal Hasham** our player of the week this week goes to one of our Juniors, in only his 2nd senior game. Bilal took the Bonogin attack apart in 4th grade scoring 104* off only 68 balls! Very impressive and we can’t wait to see the runs continue to flow for him this season. 22.01.2022 A massive shoutout to Kris from KPM Sports Images for spending the day at Tigerland on Saturday capturing images in the heat all day for our 1st XI Clash v Runaway Bay for the Sam Loxton Shield Some great images of both teams from the day! Round results to follow but as you can see below our boys retained the Loxton this year and sent the Bay home empty handed!! Well done lads ... #likeatiger

Let’s get ready to go for Round 7 of our One Day matches A big milestone in our 1st XI this weekend as one of our club legends - Wade Kilborn joins the prestigious 300 club! Playing his 300th game for the Tigers v Alberton. Which will make for a great night of celebration at Tigerland after the games no doubt. Congratulations Golden Arm ... Shout and congratulations also to Andrew Splatt as he takes the reigns and will be our 2nd XI Skipper this weekend! Well done mate and well deserved Some travel time this week which was expected after all of the close games last week. But let’s make sure we make the effort to get back to celebrate our wins and also Killer for his 300th on Saturday night Thanks to our sponsors for your continued support. Unfortunately we were unable to complete the clean sweep of Queens Centaurs like we wanted with our 1st XI falling short in the run chase. ... No doubt the boys will bounce back this week v the Hurricanes With 3 from 5 grades getting the win on Saturday, our Over 40’s Div 3 side remained undefeated on Sunday, making light work of the Crocs from Coomera making it 4/6 grade wins over the entire weekend A another solid turnout Saturday night for match reports with a great vibe with a few wives / partners joining in on the fun also. Great to see everyone getting around their team mates on a Saturday night Our members draw went off and 2nd XI spinner...Sean Soup Campbell took the $25 bar voucher this week! Congrats mate Randy’s Kitchen had the meals flying out of the kitchen with his amazing slow cooked lamb with mashed potato you seriously cannot beat Tigerland for a meal on Saturday night! Which means the Sam Loxton Shield is up for grabs Goodluck to our 1st XI as they will fight hard this weekend to retain the Loxton Shield after taking it back from Runaway Bay last year. Always a great day of cricket and this year it’s at Tigerland so be sure to get down ... Some movement around the grades due to unavailabilities and injuries which means there’s a few debutants in the 1st, 2nd & 3rd XI again for the season. Along with some players returning to a higher grade after some great performances earning their chance this weekend Debutants this week are; 1st XI - Brian Sargent - Shubham Rawat 2nd XI - Joel Smith - Andrew Byrne 3rd XI - Bilal Hasham Goodluck to all and play hard as you have been and take the opportunity by both hands. After playing away all games this season bar the opening round our 2nd XI lads saw themselves back at Tigerland and Sarge took the home ground advantage. Setting up the 2nd XI innings with a fantastic opening knock of 51 off just 48 balls. Bringing up his 1st 50 since joining the Tigers this season! Playing his 300th game for the Tigers on Saturday in the 1st XI game v Alberton-Ormeau. ... Playing at the club from a junior level right through to seniors and playing in the 1st XI now for many years. Show casing his cricketing talents with both bat & ball with too many club / association awards to mention.
