23.01.2022 Congratulations to Ms Alice for being a dedicated Educator at our Service for 2 years. You are a valued member of our team and we thank you for all your hard work and passion you bring to our Service.

21.01.2022 We are all about scaffolding on each and every experience here at Southport Child Care Centre. The Junior Kindy children were very excited to be able to serve themselves some ice cream following on from their recent ice cream shop dramatic play space! Sounds like fun right? Call us on 07 55284388 and book for a tour. You'll find us at 190-200 Scarborough Street, Southport. We can't wait to meet you!

21.01.2022 Here at Southport Child Care Centre we provide opportunities for the children to lead their own learning to develop their sense of agency. Here are the Pre Kindy children engaging in an art experience chosen and prepared all by themselves!

21.01.2022 Our Toddlers class have shown an ongoing interest with bugs recently. To scaffold on this interest Ms Ferlicity organised a bug imprinting activity with play dough, also incorporating natural resources like wood logs, rocks and seed pods. These were used for open ended play where the children rolled, cut and manipulated the play dough. The children used great fine motor skills as they pushed the bugs down, the children were very impressed as they saw the different patterns appear when taking the bugs away.

19.01.2022 Here is another great activity our Toddler children have been engaging in to strengthen their fine motor development!

19.01.2022 It is with a heavy heart that we say our goodbyes to Ms Ping as she embarks on her new adventure to Sydney. 15 presents for 15 years at our Service. Thank you Ms Ping for your many years of dedication to your role as an Educator here at Southport Child Care Centre. You have helped shaped the lives of so many children and supported the families throughout this time. We wish you all the best for the future. We will miss you!

19.01.2022 NAIDOC Week celebrations have begun here at Southport Child Care Centre. Here are some of the planned experiences the Junior Kindy class will be exploring this week.

18.01.2022 Australia Day celebrations were in full swing today at our Service, the weather certainly didn’t stop our fun! The children enjoyed participating in many great activities like making fairy bread, temporary tattoos, water play and sensory play with Australian animals!

18.01.2022 Miss Ferlicity and Ms Jocelyn in the Toddlers room have been incorporating different activities to promote fine motor skills. Here is a new activity the children were able to engage with this week. Educators role modelled how to peel the balls off the table and then take the tape off. Engaging fine motor skills within fun activities like these build skills for the children’s future for when they learn to write and even cut with scissors.
