25.01.2022 Ned Twohill Teams Eventing Amendment to rule 7. In dressage, horses competing Elementary and above can only compete in class 2 or 3. A horse competing in preliminary or novice can compete in class 1, 2 or 3 of the dressage phase.

It was great to see many smiling faces and the competition enjoyed with great team spirit shown! 20.01.2022 Great day today with the running of the annual Ned Twohill Teams Eventing. Thanks to so many people who support this event every year and for those who competed for the first time we hope you enjoyed the team experience. Not many times where we get to compete as a team and it was great to see so many teams competing in the true spirit of the event. Thank you to all the volunteers that made this possible in the lead up and then today. 18.01.2022 We are looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow. Just a few messages before arriving. HHD forms need to be handed upon arrival and placed in the green folder outside clubhouse. You will also find Qscan and you are required to sign in. At 8:30 all riders are asked to assemble mounted outside the clubhouse for a gear check. Presentation whether it is formal or natural is up to you as parents as there is no presentation class. After gear check riders will be issued with a num...ber and placed in their groups which they will stay with for the duration of the event. We ask that a parent from each group carry the groups ribbon box to each event and a parent act as the penciller for each event. It is a public thoroughfare so please keep vehicles locked and valuable out of sight. All Manure from Parking area must be removed and placed in garden areas prior to departure. Please bring a change of clothes in case they get wet!!!

11.01.2022 A huge thank you to the State Government for allowing us to be successful with the grant and The Gold Coast City council for their support of the project. It was lovey that some of our long standing members were able to be some of the first to be able to ride on our brand new all purpose outdoor 50m x 70m sand arena. The concept of this project has always been on our agenda and we are so pleased that it has become a reality. ... Matt Wray from Alpha Arenas was so professional and enjoyable to work with throughout this project. Geoff Thomson from Michel Surveyors was a huge support to our club and we thank him for the many hours spent on this project. A big mention must go to our tireless committee who have dedicated so much of their time to see us get to this point. We are very excited about this amazing new facility and look forward to many like minded people being able to utilise this in the future.

09.01.2022 Our club is very happy and would like to thank the Queensland Government COVID SAFE Active Clubs Kickstart grant of $2,000 to help our club to get back up and running. 09.01.2022 URGENT ANNOUNCEMENT Following advice from our state bodies and the government our competition on March 29 has been cancelled. We will likely run this event later in the year however we still have to sort dates etc. and watch the development of this virus so for now we will refund everyone through omnisports and ask that those competitors re-nominate when we have a new day.... Please note for SPC members: Rally days are still okay at this stage but we will most likely not open the canteen due to the indoor gathering requirements.

08.01.2022 What a beautiful day we had at our first Southport Pony Club and friends protocol day on our new sand dressage arenas. Thank you to our judges Connie Brookless and Trisha Sellers, your constructive and insightful commentary was appreciated by all the riders and will I'm certain help all of us ride better tests in the future... It was wonderful to see everyone out and riding again. Thank you to Gala Equine for the gift for best dressed, which was presented to Kaitlyn Bellamy, well done. 07.01.2022 We had a great turnout for rally day on the weekend. 13 riders and 4 I instructors. Thanks toour president Jacqui Larson for attending mounted, it gave a junior riders a great visual of how to ride a jump course.

02.01.2022 Southport hosted the annual South East QLD Regional Instructors clinic. It was great having super group of instructors to work with. They participated in lungeing, rein drill, Quiz, riding lessons, dressage and SJ lesson observation and working collaboratively on the new PCA syllabus. Big thank you to Tori Welch and Chloe Hughes for your dedication and support today. Thanks to our 6 demo riders from Southport. It was fantastic to see you all show improvements in your lessons. Thanks must also go to members of our regional panel, Michael Carlson, Jan Morland, Brigitte Bennett and Rachel Lornie. Thanks to PCQ for their support of insyructor education and training.
