06.01.2022 HAVE YOU WONDERED WHERE THE NAME "SOUTHRIDGE" COMES FROM? Southridge House has so much history and is a tiny gem in the midst of Eastern Creek, NSW. Built in 1859, they used to call it Herguilliers. This name is hard to pronounce but is surely French sounding as it's owner at the time, was an early French migrant Moise Roussel. It was renamed Southridge in 1919 by Frederick Bigg, whose family raised cattle and pigs on the site.
