We will keep you informed via our page with any new developement. ... We also would like to wish our member Marg Goller who is in hospital a speedy recovery ( which is not virus related). 21.01.2022 The Chief Health Officer has published the update regarding sports based activities commencing tommorrow. - Limit 10 people per outdoor sporting based activies -Social Sporting activities must comply with the conditions in par 12 below.... limited to non-contact skills training 10 people include, players, coaches and spectators physical distancing , hand hygiene, frequent environmental cleaning and disinfection Toilets may remain open, minimise use of communal facitiies -Note- Social sporting activities do not included competitions or fixtures Q&A Groups of 10 people can take part in lawn bowls with social distancing requirments followed * An outdoor sporting- based facility with multipal sporting areas can have 10 people in each (10 people each court 3 x10 groups) If the outdoor sporting facility is part of a community facility 10 people can be in the sporting area and 10 people indoors in the community area



20.01.2022 Information in from Bowls QLD EASING OF RESTRICTIONS UPDATE 13.5.20 BY JGREY After consultation with various QLD State Government Departments, Clubs QLD and QSport, Bowls Queensland would like to advise clubs the following: The Stage 1 limit of 10 people is for each business premises, which includes both indoor and outdoor spaces, this includes bowling greens. This means if your club decides to open up your restaurant/café for dining, you can only have 10 people in the club ...dining and no one playing bowls. The stage 1 limit of 10 people applies for the whole venue but excludes staff (i.e. you may have up to 10 patrons plus staff). The venue must continue to meet minimum health requirements including applying the one person per 4 square metres rule which applies to ALL people at a premise (staff and customers included). In relation to the restrictions regarding playing bowls, more information will be released by the QLD Chief Health Officer this Friday. This will include advice for all sports. Bowls QLD recommends clubs wait for this advice before planning the opening of their greens. 16.01.2022 The committee has recommended at this stage to continue bowling activities at Souths Acacia Bowls Club for members only as we continue, the health and wellbeing of our members is the number 1 priority. We are putting measures in place to keep within the requirements for gatherings as set out by the Australian Government 18/3/2020 and have already implemented a number of extra measures in regards to health and hygiene to maintain a safe and healthy environment for member...s. Members can help us by; Staying away if you have travel overseas or been in contact with someone who has travel overseas in the last 3 weeks. Clean your hands regularly with soap and water or hand sanitiser. Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue or bent elbow when coughing or sneezing. Avoid touching your face, nose and mouth. Avoid shaking hands or touching other player . Whilst playing bowls remain 1.5 metres from your opponents and other players were possible. 14.01.2022 4 May 2020 National Cabinet (National, States and Territories)approved the national principles on resuming sports and recreation activities in Australia following the COVID-19 shutdown. The National Principles make clear how sport and recreational activities can only occur. Stringent public and personal health measures will need to be in place. There are 3 levels in the rebooting of community sport and individual sport in a COVID 19 environment.... NT, SA and WA only are on level B activities up to 10 people on the green. At this stage QLD is on Level A, which is only 2 person per green at any one time not rinks We will cobtinue to keep members informed once Qld relaxes social gathering restrictions from only 2 people together, to move activities to level B. Hoping everyone is keeping safe

12.01.2022 The Chief Health Officer Dr Janette Young as of yesterday amended the gathering rules for lawn bowls club with indoor dining and multiple greens. 10 patrons only for the entire premise whether indoors or on the green during Stage 1. There is also to be no completions during this stage. Bowls QLD has advised clubs, that breaches of this rule could affect affilated clubs memberships. Please read the gathering amendment below. ... Groups of up to 10 patrons can be present at community facilities. The total number of up to 10 patrons is for the entire premises or venue, and the premises must be able to accommodate one person per 4 square metres and appropriate social distancing for patrons and any staff required to be present on site (for example to open the facility). Some community facilities have large outdoor areas, with multiple fields, courts or greens that could accommodate more than 10 people on each court, field or green.
