10.01.2022 We celebrated Book Week 2020!!! with a fun and fantastic book parade! To make it even more fantastic and fun the students had a very exciting zoom call with Australian author and illustrator Gus Gordon !! Which they all really enjoyed !!

09.01.2022 The WEEK that was! This week was a busy and fulfilling week for us at Southside !! We had our School photos! Everyone brought their special smiles to school ....SAY CHEESE !! We enjoyed a special training session from Lugarno football club which we loved and enjoyed ! ... We paid our respect to all of Australia’s servicemen and servicewomen through art on Remembrance Day this year ! What a beautiful week!!! 07.01.2022 What a day!!! We visited a Hydroponic Farm in the Central Coast!! We learnt how Hydroponic produce is grown! We also saw and learnt how herbs are grown in coconut husk (coco peat) and field grown rosemary! Our Primary Garden & Loft students picked Mint from the coco peat which was super exciting! Our Loft 1 students planted cos gems into the Hydroponic tables!! Which they really enjoyed! ... Southside students now have a better understanding of how produce is grown and what they saw today on the farm is the beginning of the story of what they see on the shelves at supermarkets !! A big thank you to John Cordina the owner Hydro Produce & Fresh Boxed for letting us explore his farm, ask lots of questions and for our Hydro Produce / Fresh Boxed bags which where filled with lots goodies! We cannot wait to eat the sweet potato and cos gems and to plant our baby basil seedlings at home!!
