25.01.2022 Many of you will recall that earlier this year public submissions were being called for by a Victorian government inquiry into chiropractic care for kids. Well, the results of the inquiry are in and they could not have been more positive for the chiropractic profession!... A huge number of public submissions (21,824) were received from people with experience of chiropractic for their children. Of these, "99.7% (21,750) reported a positive experience with the chiropractic car...e of their children. The overwhelming majority of parents/guardians reported that chiropractic spinal care helped their child, with 98% (21,474) indicating that their child improved after treatment." (Safer Care Victoria) The board of enquiry also investigated the safety of chiropractic for kids by searching for serious adverse incidents involving chiropractors in Australia. This was done by (1) commissioning an extensive literature review, (2) analysing the inquiry’s own public submissions, (3) searching notifications to government healthcare regulation authorities, and (4) searching data from chiropractors’ insurance companies for claims that have been made against chiropractors. Using these methods, the combined number of serious adverse events found for children in Australian chiropractic history was ZERO(!!) So we personally, and as a profession, owe a big ‘thank you’ to all of you who took the time and effort to respond to this inquiry. Confirmation of the extremely high level of safety in chiropractic for kids is super encouraging. As indeed, is the overwhelming support that the Australian public has shown us. THANKS GUYS!

24.01.2022 COVID LOCKDOWN UPDATE: Hi all, SA health issued a directive this morning that all Allied Health Care in private practice must cease for the duration of the six day ‘circuit breaker’ lock down. That includes us.... Although we will not be providing any appointments at the clinic, our phones will be answered right through the lockdown. If you are in pain we are happy to provide informal telehealth style advice on home management at no charge. We are hoping to recommence clinic appointments on Wed 25/11. If you would like to book an appointment for after the duration of the lockdown, please give us a call on 8382 2255. 16.01.2022 COVID LOCKDOWN UPDATE 2: Great news about the lockdown ending early! We will now re-open Monday 23/11 at 8:30am as usual.... If your appointment has been cancelled or rescheduled during the original six day lockdown period & you would like to rebook please call us on 8382 2255. We will be answering calls for extended hours over the weekend. We will of course be continuing to practise stringent COVID safety precautions. We also encourage patients to heed SA health advice to wear a face mask (if you have one) when leaving home to attend our clinic. 07.01.2022 What a fantastic day we all had yesterday at 'Hortas Restaurant' overlooking the beautiful ocean in Port Noarlunga. We were having an early work Christmas celebration to get in before the silly season. The food and company was brilliant!

05.01.2022 Christmas is nearly here... do you need a Chiropractic treatment or Remedial Massage before Xmas? 04.01.2022 Yes, we are still open! Regarding the uncertainty & increasing restrictions around the Coronavirus... The current government position on chiropractic is clear. As allied healthcare, chiropractors not only are allowed, but are encouraged to continue practising.... The government’s position on massage therapy is a little less clear but the best information that we have is that, as a form of healthcare it is allowed to continue. On Tuesday night the PM announced a ban on Beauty therapy, tanning, waxing, nail salons and tattoo parlours and same for spa and massage parlours. That excludes health-related services in those areas.... All massage therapy provided at our clinic is clearly health related (i.e. can be claimed on private health insurance). We have therefore decided to continue providing both chiropractic & massage therapy services. In making this decision, we want to reassure you that the health and safety of patients is of top priority. We are strictly adhering to the authorities’ guidelines and have the following procedures in place: Practitioners wearing surgical masks Disinfecting the treatment tables between every patient Screening patients to exclude anyone with respiratory symptoms, fever or recent travel Practitioners sanitising hands between every patient Extra heavy cleaning including disinfection of surfaces Practising social distancing were possible (including spacing reception room chairs) Practitioners wearing gloves when appropriate Extra ventilation Observing the one person per four square metres rule Allowing extra time for appointments to avoid congesting the waiting room Added extra signage to encourage self-hygiene Provision & mandatory use of hand sanitiser for all patients and reception staff We will be continuing to monitor the situation & acting appropriately. The Noarlunga Leisure Centre has closed down so we are the only ones in the building. At least there’s no problem in finding a car park! Keep well everyone, Ben

01.01.2022 Congratulations to our staff member, Sally!!! We are so proud to let you all know that our much loved Massage Therapist Sally competed last week in the 'Muaythai Australia National Championships' and won GOLD!!! She was in the 48kg Amateur C Class (0-5 fights) division. It was held in the Gold Coast QLD.
