Click Search by club Search Southern District Magpies Cricket Club Toowoomba Scroll down to see the Junior Blaster, Master Blaster, Junior & Senior options and choose either JUNIOR BLASTER or MASTER BLASTER The JUNIOR BLASTER program is for kids and young people new to cricket. In this program, participants build their skills through fun, games based activities. The games are designed for small groups to ensure every child gets a go. Here at Souths, we are committed to making this program an ALL ABILITIES accessible program, so no matter what barrier your little magpie is facing, they are still able to get out and enjoy the sport we all love, in a safe, supportive and INCLUSIVE environment! The cost is $99 and is an 8 week program beginning on the 18th of October. If you have any enquiries about the above, please contact MATT HANSSON on 0481 134 422. The MASTER BLASTERS program is a super fun, social, and safe cricket program for boys and girls aged 7-10. The program is much shorter than traditional cricket, with a maximum of 90 minutes playing time. At Souths, we want every little cricketer to have the opportunity to play in a great team with great coaches and a supportive flock.... Souths supports struggling families with "FairPlay" vouchers. These vouchers give an opportunity to low income families to help fund the membership and registration fees for your little Magpies to join us during cricket season. If you are a parent of a child aged between 5-17, hold a VALID Health Care Card, and you want your little one to play for Souths this year but are scared of the cost, click the link below! FairPlay vouchers are now open for application! The expiry date for Round 3 vouchers is 11 November 2020 and the voucher redemption expiry is 25 November 2020. Due to unforeseen circumstances we will be postponing our LEVEL 1 COACH COURSES until further notice. We apologise for any inconvenience however we will do our best to lock in a new date and locations as soon as possible. In the meantime, it is a prerequisite to complete the Introduction to Cricket Program before undertaking your Level 1 course. If you intend to do the Level 1 course please ensure this is completed. 04.01.2022 ANNOUNCEMENT Southern District Magpies are incredibly proud to announce this year we are piloting the first: ALL-ABILITY BLAST PROGRAM!!!... This is the first of its kind for Toowoomba Cricket. This Junior Blast Program will be based on supporting young people with disabilities have a fair go. As a club, we are here to provide a bridge to inclusion while encouraging and supporting ALL ABILITES to enjoy the great game of cricket in a welcoming, understanding and safe environment. There will be equipment available to cater for ALL ABILITIES. Volunteers & Support People will be there as well to assist with the running of the day, and ensuring a safe place for all participants. This program will kick off with a FREE "Come N Try" day on Sunday, the 11th of October and depending on the interest, we will look at starting our 8 week program the following Sunday Why not get your boys and girls out in the sun for a Sunday afternoon I have heard that there might be a visit from our very own 1 legged Magpie SWOOP of the cards to join in our activities If you wish to register for the program before the "Come N Try" day, head over to www.playcricket.com.au and search for Southern District Magpies.
