17.01.2022 CQLD CATASTROPHIC FIRE DANGER DECLARED Fire Weather Warning for the Central Coast and Whitsundays, Capricornia, Central Highlands and Coalfields, Darlin...g Downs and Granite Belt, Wide Bay and Burnett and Southeast Coast forecast districts Issued at 1:21 pm EST on Wednesday 28 November 2018. Weather Situation Severe to Extreme fire dangers are forecast for the southeastern corner of the state and central districts today, with locally catastrophic conditions over inland parts of the Capricornia district and eastern parts of the Central Highlands and Coalfields district. These very significant fire dangers are due to the combination of hot conditions and strong, gusty, dry westerly winds that will extend over the warning area this afternoon and into the evening. 17.01.2022 After our downpour this morning, its looking like the weather shaping up for the best Fri/Sat/Sun. Quality Bream over 30cm are being caught in good numbers p...resently. Weve seen a few kg pushing 40cm caught off the Jacobs Well jetty this week. The water is crystal clean at present and Flathead are being caught right thru the Jacobs Well/Jumpinpin area. The northern banks above Woogoompa island also fishing well for lizards. Plastics and hardbody lures working very effectively on the first of the run out tide. Trevally also being caught off the Jacobs Well jetty. If you want to target these, try for a live bait such as herring jigged off the jetty or fresh banana prawns. Last few days of the school holidays guys and with the rain gone and the wind right down, it should be an enjoyable weekend!! See more
