24.01.2022 This weeks club night started off with presenting our club records to our swimmers. Thank you Nicky from Gibson Plumbing & Roofing for presenting these to our new club record holders. 23.01.2022 Wow what a night of swimming from Kayden tonight!! 200IM taking home the SILVER medal with a another huge PB. In total today he dropped his time by 6.78sec 100 Butterfly taking home the GOLD medal again with another huge PB. In total today he dropped his time by 3.36sec... Well done and congratulations Kayden, you swam fantastically tonight, and deserve every bit of these medals!! A huge congratulations to our super coach Adam Eiseman such an awesome result!!

22.01.2022 Well done to all our swimmers that swam yesterday at Biloela. You swam amazing, lots of PBs, medals, cash, club records and runner up age champions achieved. We are very proud of you all. Congratulations to Sophie Slack and Dax Andrews for winning runner up age champion.... A huge thank you to our amazing coach Rebecca Desertiaux and assistant Minnie Smith for all your support and guidance on the day. Thank you to Biloela Swimming Club for another great meet, and for your hospitality!!



21.01.2022 Due to coach Adam being in Bundaberg for the City of Charm meet, and coach Beccy needing to be in Biloela on Saturday for another meet, along with many of our competitive swimmers not training at all; ALL SQUADS ON FRIDAY AFTERNOON WILL BE ON AT 3:30-4:30pm. Senior squad in the morning is still as per usual.

Starting off with our clean sweep awards which are sponsored by Giggle Inflatables, our swimmers love to receive these gold caps!! 19.01.2022 What an awesome night of swimming last night. Many of our swimmers achieved some fantastic PB’s, whilst some were swimming at their very first meet. Well done to each and every swimmer for giving it their best shot!! We are all very proud of you!!



19.01.2022 A massive weekend of swimming with members. Some swimming on Friday night at the Rocky City Development meet and then more swimming (some of the same) on Saturday at the Tropic of Capricorn meet. ****************... Friday Night So many PBS were smashed, many placings achieved and several age champions and runner up age champions. Due to a storm approaching there were no presentations handed on the night, but were given to the club at Saturday’s meet. A massive congratulations to all our swimmers, some overcoming their nerves of their first meet and others walking away with their first placing and/or champion award. Age and Runner up champions were Ava Graham Cameron Holzberger Fletcher Jenkinson Diaz Polo Jovi Bax Jessica Graham Laylah Pimm Bailey Pimm Sophie Griffiths Lileee Jetson Max Jetson ***************** Saturday Well it was certainly a very hot day for our swimmers. Again some swimmers absolutely smashed their PBS. We are super proud of the whole team that attended this meet, swimming for times only (no medals or awards) and pushed themselves to achieve great results. Ross and Darren Currie both swam in the middle of the day their first ever 1500m event. Well done to you both, you swam fantastically. Congratulations to our Skins qualifiers, Milly Sharpe, Ryan Asher and Jesse Hayden. It was exciting watching you all battle it out. Well done to Ryan and Jesse who both achieved 4th place for their age groups. Always great to finish Rockhampton meets with a bit of Baskin robins A huge thank you to our super head coach Adam Eiseman for all your guidance and support over the weekend and each and everyday!!!

19.01.2022 Wow wow wow!!! What a week at Queensland Championships for 12 year old Kayden Gibson!! Qualified for 14 events, nominated for 11.... 11 heats swum 10 finals qualified (equal first reserve for the 11th event) 21 races swam with 20 PBS (21st missed by 0.19) Gold medal in 100 butterfly Gold medal in 200 butterfly Silver medal in 200 IM Bronze medal in 50 butterfly Bronze medal in 400 IM Kayden you are an amazing young man and an inspiration to all around you!! Your hard work, fantastic training ethic, grit, determination and humility are an absolute credit to you and your coach!!! Your whole GSSC family have been cheering you on from the sidelines and on their phones and you are a CHAMPION!!! Now enjoy a couple of days rest!! To our super coach Adam Eiseman a huge congratulations to you also. None of these results could have been possible without your passion for the sport, your knowledge, drive and dedication to our swimmers. We thank you for all that you do!

15.01.2022 What a fantastic weekend away in Bundaberg for the City of Charm Meet. Some fantastic PBs achieved, money and medals won, State Championship qualifying, age champion and meet records were achieved. Congratulations to all our swimmers you all competed very well.... Blake Asher - 2nd in 200IM Ryan Asher - 2nd in 200 Free Ross Currie - 3rd in 100 fly and 100 free Kayden Gibson - 1st in 50 free, 100 Free, back, breast and fly, 1st in 200 IM, Free and Fly Jesse Hayden - 2nd in 200 Breast , 3rd in 100 breast Finn Jefferis - 3rd in 100 fly Tilly Jefferis - 2nd in 50 free Preston Loosmore - 2nd in 100 breast Levi Prossliner - 1st in 100 breast 3rd in 100 back Also swimming fantastically on the weekend and achieving some wonderful PBS were Connor Asher, Sam Barton, Darren Currie, Laylah Gibson, and Nyah Loosmore. In addition to the above results we are very proud to announce: Kayden Gibson has qualified for 14 events at the Queensland State Championships, as well as breaking a 2011 meet record in the 200 butterfly!! This is an outstanding result!! Well done Kayden. Jesse Hayden has qualified for his 2nd year in the 50 Freestyle at Queensland State Championships. Well done Jesse. Ryan Asher has qualified for the 200 Freestyle at the Queensland State Championships. Well done Ryan. No City of Charm meet is completed without a visit to the cafe afterwards. Normally we have teams battling it out in a Nutella challenge but due to Covid this wasn’t possible this year but still fantastic!! Thank you to Fairymead Swimming Club for your hospitality and also Scott (and Krystal) for the loan of your shades. And last but certainly not least, a massive thank you to our super head coach Adam Eiseman, none of these results would even be possible without your passion, knowledge and guidance.

15.01.2022 Some fun relays were had in both junior and senior squads this afternoon!! Seniors: Training is on tomorrow morning at 6am as well as tomorrow afternoon at 4:30pm Juniors: Training is on tomorrow afternoon at 3:30pm.... Transition: Training is on tomorrow afternoon at 3:30pm. This will be the last training sessions for 2020!!

11.01.2022 Fantastic swimming from the boys this morning. First up was Jesse in the 50 freestyle, swimming his hardest and just missing his PB by .01. Then was Kayden in the 50 freestyle, swimming another race and still achieving a PB of .15 and qualifying for the finals this evening.... And the last race for our boys today was Kayden in the 200 backstroke, smashing his PB by 6.82 secs and qualifying for the final this evening. Great swimming boys!!! We are all watching you and cheering you on! Good luck in the finals tonight Kayden!!

And first time in the 400m freestyle was Charlie Burge. Fantastic swimming from the three of you!!... 10.01.2022 How awesome was our club night last night?!?! Starting our night off with our club records, then our clean sweep awards. Our swimmers love receiving the gold caps which are sponsored by Giggle Inflatables. For those that have achieved a clean sweep twice win a Kandy Couture voucher. We had several swimmers trying out their first club night and having an awesome time, we hope to see you all next week.... Lots of fun and laughter was heard around the pool and fantastic cheering for our friends. Kaylee and Tayla both smashing out their first ever 100m butterfly. Well done girls, keep up the hard training.

09.01.2022 And that’s a wrap for all our training sessions and lessons for 2020! Finishing off with some fun squad training sessions with the kids. Squad training will recommence on Monday 4th January, 2021!... 07.01.2022 What a surprise visit this afternoon!! Jacob was a member of Gladstone South Swimming Club from our very first day of operation, until he and his brother Caleb were accepted into Nudgee College in Brisbane. Thanks for popping in Jacob it was great to see you!!

05.01.2022 How big is this smile Emily swam her first club night this week and told us she was really nervous. When asked what she thought about swimming after her first race she greeted me with this huge smile and said It was AWESOME!! ... We had many new swimmers trying out their first club night this week and it seems all reports are that they can’t wait for next week. Our club nights are open to all our Learn to swim and squad members regardless of age. It’s all about building confidence and having fun!
