25.01.2022 The Nanna's for Native Forests went to visit the Premier's office today. Loving their gutsy antics.

21.01.2022 Its almost preview time... Thankyou to everyone involved in this amazing project. I hope our political decision makers are in attendance at the preview

20.01.2022 Hey folks, just a friendly reminder to be aware of your mental health needs as an environmental activist / defender (on top of all the other stuff life throws at us) and the resources available. "From 9 October 2020 until 30 June 2022, 10 additional individual psychological therapy sessions, previously available only to people whose movement was restricted by a state or territory public health order, are now available each calendar year to all eligible patients under the existing Better Access to Psychiatrists, Psychologists and General Practitioners through the MBS (Better Access) initiative." http://www.mbsonline.gov.au//Factsheet-10MentalHealthSessi

19.01.2022 Defending our forests can be tough emotional work, The Australian Psychological Society has created a workbook to help you cope. Although its for climate change, I think it's entirely relevant for the work we do. Taking Action is only one behavioural strategy you can do to to help with difficult feelings related to climate change and environmental destruction. check out the other ideas too. take good care y'all. https://www.psychology.org.au//Coping-with-climate-change-

18.01.2022 If you can, Gather for the Jarrah, tomorrow. https://fb.me/e/1B23mr7PG

13.01.2022 Treeple Needed - Your Forests Needs You I am looking to create a forest of people (Treeple) for the climate protest on Thurs Nov 5 Parliament 10am either full outfits (see centre) or simple tree shaped placards that look like a trunk and canopy. Leaving our native forests in the ground instead of chopping them down is equivalent to taking more than 1 million cars off the road. ... If you have any of the following types of materials - card cardboard craft glue, big scissors, box cutters old cardboard rolls or boxes, thin bamboo, gaffer tape corflute, come along to the Boorloo Activist Centre on Aberdeen Street (next to the McIver Train Station) the at 6pm on Wednesday tomorrow. Together we will create a forest to save a forest.

06.01.2022 Nannas for Native Forests!

06.01.2022 Join another fortnightly sit and stitch session as we chat about what's happening toward protecting native forests in WA, and how you can get involved in whatever way manageable for you. Learn how to stitch a leaf and wear one in solidarity with the movement. Feel free to ask us your questions!

05.01.2022 Today, passing through the forest I called home for months, I spotted a truck pulling out loaded up with logs they destroyed that forest I called home to get. Low value timber destined for charcoal and firewood, from what was once home to a multitude of species. I don't have words to describe the anger and sadness I feel seeing those trees turned to logs and "waste". The last picture was taken just down the road from the logging site, to show the kind of country they are destroying every day. These trees need to stay standing. Native forest logging needs to stop. I urge everyone to watch the new documentary "Cry of the Forests" and get in touch with the premier and your local representatives to demand they take action. https://documentaryaustralia.com.au/pro/cry-of-the-forests/

02.01.2022 The Nannas for Native Forests have got so much traction with their non violent stop work action in forests down south, that they managed to secure a meeting with Forestry Minister Dave Kelly on Tuesday morning. The Nannas are concerned for the future of their children and grandchildren and are calling for forests to be protected for climate. This event is of absolute *paramount importance* in getting forests protected in WA.... Even if you cant make it, please still invite people, share to as many pages, groups and friends as possible, direct message any nannas you know. Please help us push this one out and make it massive! Theres a nannas anthem to learn, and we are asking people to bring tea coffee baked goods and picnic blankets....
