22.01.2022 As some of you may have seen, Football Victoria has announced that Men and Womens' Competitions for 2020 have been officially cancelled due to the new government restrictions imposed on Metropolitan Melbourne last week. Whilst we are all disappointed that will not be able to train and compete this year, I think we can all agree that safety comes first for our community. Football Victoria has also announced that although the Men and Womens' Competitions will not go ahead, th...ere is still the chance for Junior Competitions to go ahead. Below is an excerpt from the official statement today: Metropolitan Football - Senior metropolitan competitions (NPL and community) will not proceed or resume as fixtured, with alternative competitions and football options over the spring and summer to be discussed with clubs on an opt-in basis Junior NPL - competitions to resume in modified form, with a target date in September (subject to Government restrictions) Community Junior - competitions to resume in modified form on an opt-in basis, with a target date in September (subject to Government restrictions) Link to official statement here: https://www.footballvictoria.com.au//updates-2020-competit We'd like to thank everyone involved in the Club - our coaches, volunteers, players and sponsors for all the work they've put in to get us this far.
