We were blown away!! Congratulations also to our dedicated and amazing coaching team who give so much to our students. Our audience was full of proud families. 20.01.2022 Wishing our students, families and supporters a very Merry Christmas and a safe and happy New Year! Looking back on a remarkable 2020...none of us would have imagined possible. But we are so proud of the resilience, determination and commitment shown by each of our students. And how lucky our students have been to be supported and nurtured by our amazing coaching team and those across Victoria who also joined us for various classes. Once we were finally back at the Studio e...ach group had the opportunity to dress in their costumes and perform some dances - just like Comp day. There was so much laughter and joy seeing everyone being able to perform and do what they love Recently we held our online presentation night and we are proud to share the recipients of each award: Emma Peart Spirit Awards: Indy C - Tinies, Maddie B - Subs, Emma - Juniors, Erin - Inters, Kate -Seniors Robyn Pascoe Award: Tegan (Juniors) and Imogen K (Inters) Renee Knight Award: Allira (Inters) Congratulations to you all and we are so proud of you! And finally we had students present for their Pupil Skills exams. What outstanding results they all received and what a lovely way to finish out the year! We can’t wait to see everyone back in 2021! 16.01.2022 Another busy and exciting week for our students with 12 different classes (and lots of amazing guests!!) on offer! On the weekend, we held our Talent Show. We had a variety of acts from singing, dancing, contortion, illusions and magic. Congratulations to our amazing performers who entertained so many online viewers. You are all amazing and we commend you on the confidence that you performed with. Such diverse talent!

13.01.2022 Hi everyone. Under guidance and recommendations from Calisthenics Victoria and the Department of Health and Human Services, all classes will be temporarily cancelled, to be reviewed in early April. Whilst this is devastating to our community of friends, families, and eager students, this decision was inevitable. However it doesn’t mean the end of Cals 2020 - far from it!!! We all know how resilient and determined our girls are, therefore we are looking at alternative options. Watch this space Take care of each other, as we are all experiencing varying and unprecedented levels of difficulty throughout this time.

We commence this coming Monday and are insanely excited that our first guest will be none other than the winner of This is Calisthenics - Olivia Bouloukis!! Olivia will take our girls for a class and then we will hear all about Olivia’s This is Calisthenics experience, her calisthenics journey (including winning RS...SS Graceful Solo) and a chance for our students to ask questions. Despite the Nationals not proceeding we know how much you valued this experience and know you would have bought so much to your team. 12.01.2022 What a busy and incredible week our students and coaches have enjoyed. Starting with a Mindfulness Session with Carly from Avonde. Then a technique class with Marlee-Shae, also from Avonde. And tonight kicks off a series of classes with Calista from Regent. We are very grateful that we are able to continue to develop and engage our students with these classes and thank Horsham Calisthenics for joining us and letting us participate in their sessions. And a big shout out to the amazing Sovereign Coaches who are always there for our students. Despite being not able to see each other face to face, we are all enjoying the variety and new challenges that you are all creating!

09.01.2022 Solo Season is commencing this weekend and we cannot wait! Wishing all of our talented and hard working students the best of luck and may you enjoy each performance. We are so proud of you all!!

09.01.2022 It is with deep sadness that we say farewell to Barb Humphreys, who passed away peacefully yesterday. Barb was a founding member of Sovereign in 1978 and instrumental in the clubs development and progression over many years. Always one with an eye for detail, Barb had an everlasting impact on the girls she taught. Barb filled every role at Sovereign - from coaching, committee member and volunteer and would always be there to give anyone a hand. Barb will probably be most rem...embered for her extensive music collection, endless list making and traipsing all over Melbourne for costume materials. A staunch supporter, Barb would be seen at every comp and especially enjoyed her time at Royal South Street, supporting her beloved club. Through her daughter Leanne and granddaughters involvement in Melbourne clubs, Barb also shared her love of calisthenics with all who had the privilege of meeting her. She was so proud that her family had continued her love of calisthenics. In later years, Barb would regularly attend Sovereign classes and quietly sit observing training - always with an eager eye on footwork, straight lines and team work. Often if she caught your eye, a quick little word in the ear of the coach to make a suggestion. Rest peacefully Barb. Your warm smile, words of advice and never ending love of our great club Sovereign, will never be forgotten. Our deepest sympathy to our former Principal Leanne, granddaughters Maddy and Alex and families. Thank you for sharing your Mum with us. We know how much she loved our great club and she was just as loved back.
