24.01.2022 In early December we delivered about 50 beanies to Perth Children’s Hospital. These beanies will be used mainly for the Oncology Dept. PCH have requested that beanies be made of acrylic yarn rather than wool, as wool can harbour bad bugs! Yep, we thought wool would be warmer, and whilst that is the case, acrylic is safer for the hospital and medical environment. PCH are also in need of knee rugs, etc, in fact rugs of any size. These are often used for families who have flown usually by RFD on medical emergencies in from much warmer climates in our north and feel the cold, even in our Perth summer.
07.01.2022 Did you realise that 1 in 6 men will get prostate cancer and each year it will kill more man than most other cancers. This year our Biggest Morning Tea is raising awareness of Prostate Cancer. We are helping create a future where every man diagnosed with the disease has access to a Prostate Cancer Specialist Nurse. This event has now been postponed until much later in the year.
