25.01.2022 Was another great day out at Proston Show 2019! After a late scratching of "Post M", our smaller team with "Five Star Storm Tracker" took out Jnr/Gr Ch Euro Bull, "Five Star Ruby Slippers" 1st in class and Res Jnr Euro Female @ 9 mths. But the days highlight was with our Prime Cattle entries, placing first in pair of Replacement Heifers (Limflex) & 1st and Supreme Prime Cattle Exhibit with a grass fed export heifer (Limflex). Many thanks to the Proston Show Society!

24.01.2022 So proud to give a huge shout out to our newest team member Miss Tamika Schultz who represented Five Star Limousins at the 2019 QLD Limousin Youth Camp - Wondai Showgrounds 27-29th September on the weekend! She single handedly prepared & took "Five Star Ruby Slippers" to Grand Champion Limousin Heifer under the eye of respected judge Kim Groner! Tamika also placed first in the Stud Young Judges in her age group under esteemed International judge and mentor Mr Grame Hopf, 2nd in Prime judges and 4th in her paraders class! 23.01.2022 We are proud to announce the combined offering by the Goetsch Family (Kents Lagoon Limousins) and the Sowden Family (Five Star Limousins and Sowden Speckle Park...). We believe these show prospect calves to be some of the best we have bred and are excited about their future potential. Some of these calves are eligible for Sydney 2021 and also potential Beef 2021 prospects. Be sure to keep an eye on this page as we upload some of the calves as they progress towards sale day on Sunday the 15th March 2020. 15.01.2022 Great to see 4x Five Star Limousin bulls heading out to get the job done in November last year out in Tambo in Western QLD. The third bull being Five Star To The Batmobile doing his 3rd season out in the west and producing Brisbane Royal Champion Prime Cattle winners last year. Limited semen available.

15.01.2022 Home from a fantastic weekend at the 2018 QLD Limousin Youth Camp - Wondai Showgrounds 28-30th September! Chloe Kemph took "Five Star Black N Bling Bling through to Grand Champion heifer. Carmen Sowden was honoured to show Oakwood Limousins Polled Karizma who went through to be Res Snr Heifer, she also took out 1st in her handlers & Commercial judging and was thrilled to be named the 2018 Qld Limousin Youth Ambassador. Lily Kemph showed a beautiful Jen-Daview Limousins heif...er and also won a swag of prizes. Lannah Sowden didnt compete & after 12 months of not seeing her cow friends has now well and truly made up for lost time, safe to say she would have taken out the best socialising prize! And last but not least our new team member Mr Andrew Ramke our 6 year old nephew certainly made his debut in style winning Res Ch Limousin Bull with Five Star Storm Tracker,1st in junior judges and 2nd in the herdsman! 14.01.2022 Home after a fantasitic trip to Matts birth place and the Beef capital of Australia, Rockhampton did not disappoint! Beef 2018 was the start of new beginnings for us with the introduction of "Sowden Cattle". Our beloved Five Star Limousins still kicking goals taking home the Calf Champion Bull with "Five Star Just Top Dollar" and the Champion Breeders Group with our 3 under 12mth old babies. Looking forward to the new chapter with the start of Sowden Speckle Parks with the recent implanting of our exciting Canadian imported embryos.

11.01.2022 Super excited with the first few Richmond Crusader calves being born here in Australia at both Five Star and Oakwood Limousins and are certainly ticking all the boxes as we hoped, born small, huge amount of vigour and growing like mushrooms. PJ needs no introduction and is no doubt one of the worlds most highly respected cattle judges. 08.01.2022 With the Proston Show over for another year, we just want to express our gratitude to be involved with this wonderful community event. Congratulations to all th...e participants who won prizes over the weekend. 07.01.2022 Very quiet Ekka for Five Star this year. After selling our sale team earlier this year we only had a small showing of 2 led steers, with a placing of 7th in a strong heavy weight class with Oakvale Ernie. We also had the pleasure of joining Moongool Charolais in helping with their team this year.

A steer bred by Five Star Limousins and purchased by Trav last year and look forward to rounds 3 and 4.

The astronmical amount of time and money that has been invested in the preparation of show and sale animals has been impacted significantly, let alone the disruption to our social gatherings which are our Agricultural Shows. "LETS NOT LET THIS BEAT US AND GET THIS VIRTUAL SHOW ON THE ROAD and promote your exhibits" To get this up and going there is a few rules as per below *Like our page and share this post *Tag 3 friends or Studs who would be interested in competing. Judging will be conducted by several industry heavyweights and will be provided in due time if this show gets up and going.
