18.01.2022 Ross Refinishing STI 3 stage wash Chemical Decontamination Clay bar decontamination... 5000 grit wet sand 4 stage paint correction/jewelling Glass polished Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light Ceramic Coating Gtechniq C5 Wheel Coating Gtechniq G5 Glass Coating For the last 3 weeks in collaboration with Ross Refinishing we have slaved over preparing this car for SubiNats 2018! As far as exterior details go, this car has recieved absolutely everything a car with factory paint could possibly have completed. After preparing the car with Bowden's Own Premium Car Care products including a thorough decontamination via snowfoam, 3 buckeg hand wash, tar removal, de ironisation, fallout removal and clay bar decontamination the car was ready for the transformation to begin! A full 5000 grit wet sand to remove as much factory texture as possible without compromising the already thin soft clear coat was performed. This was followed by a 4 stage paint correction was completed including a rotary cut, microfibre medium compound, finishing polish and jewelling stage to extract every bit of gloss and remove sanding scratches, swirls another defects in the paintwork. After completion of the paint correction the vehicle was then protected with a line up of Gtechniq goodness including Crystal Serum Light on the paint, C5 wheel armour on the wheels and G5 glass coating. After a week of curing the vehicle was then treated to its first maintenance wash and topped up with Bowdens Own Afterglow and concours Nova Jet for additional layers of protection. Over 30 hours of work went into the completion of this vehicle with finishing touches going on it saturday morning at the show. Keep an eye out for this one at the Subinats show n shine this weekend, its sure to catch your eye! Well done to Benny Ross on an amazing build ao far and i wish you the best of luck this weekend! 07.01.2022 Made an appearance in the sneak peak SubiNats video doing some last minute show car prep on a previous customers beautiful WR blue forester. The widebody hawkeye sti we prepared for the show n shine also got a quick solo appearance in the sneak peak. Looking forward to seeing the whole video! For finishing touches on a nice clean car when you arrive at a show, look no further than the following method with Bowden's Own Premium Car Care products:... - using 2 big softie cloths (one lightly damp on the plush side and one dry on the less plush side) - a spray or two of Afterglow on the damp towel, wipe over a small area, no bigger than half a bonnet (less in hot weather or direct sunlight) with back and forth strokes (no circles and little to no pressure) - Wipe off streaks/residue with the non plush side of the dry towel leaving a streak free high gloss finish Not only will this method add gloss and depth to the paintwork, but will add a layer of protection to the paintwork which is extremely hydrophobic. Managed 3rd for best in show which was an excellent result with the calibre of cars on display. 02.01.2022 Business Motorkhana car back at home and clean after SubiNats 2018. A great weekend of competition and we were amongst the leaders all weekend and went very close to taking out the shootout on friday night! Was great to see everyone out there and look forward to next years event, bigger and better! ... Plenty to finish up on this car before next years event!
