16.01.2022 CANDLE CARE PLEASE READ PRIOR TO BURNING YOUR CANDLES MEMORY POOL On the first burn, ensure to allow your new candle to melt to all edges of the vessel. This will ensure that each subsequent burn after this your candle will melt evenly to the edges allowing you get the most out of your new candle!... TRIM YOUR WICKS This step is essential for any candle, and the one I recommend the most! This needs to be done PRIOR to lighting each and every time. You will notice the tip of your wick starting to mushroom. By trimming your wick and removing any mushrooming you will eliminate soot and prevent your wick wick from producing too much heat and therefore burning faster. BURN TIME I recommended burning your new candle for a minimum of 2 hours (small candles) and a maximum of 5 hours at any one time. Each candle will have a different overall burn time based on the size of the candle, how often and long you burn it. To get the most out of your candle please follow our candle care tips. EXTINGUISHING YOUR CANDLE To extinguish your candle I recommend using a wick dipper, this is a method whereby you dip the lit wick into the melted wax. This method coats the wick for subsequent burns and prevents soot and smoke which can lessen the scent of your candle by masking it with a sooty/smokey smell. SCENT THROW A candle has a hot and cold scent throw. A cold scent throw is the smell when a candle is unlit, making a hot scent throw the smell when the candle is lit. Each candle will have a different scent throw based a number of factors including the size of the candle, the particular fragrance and the size of the room the candle is in. Each individuals scent of smell is also different and plays a part in this. Rest assured we use the highest fragrance load possible which means the scent throw from your candle is the maximum strength your chosen fragrance can give.
