03.01.2022 I've received a number of messages asking me to put a on my Facebook status for breast cancer awareness. (And I've seen countess posts with a single .) An... emoji does nothing to raise awareness of breast cancer - or any cause. Let's explicitly talk about causes we want to draw attention to. Don't be vague, don't engage in slacktivism, and don't think an emoji makes a real difference. This poster shows how to detect signs of breast cancer. It's from Breast Cancer Care.
