23.01.2022 STUDIO BACKING CLOTH SERIES | STEWART RUSSELL | 165 x 165 cm Our studio has three 7m print tables which are covered with a layer of felt which we then protect with a final layer of canvas which is the famous studio backing cloth. ... These canvas backing cloths becomes saturated with print, tests, spills, experiments, doodles, arithmetic and after about three months the backing cloths have to be renewed.
