25.01.2022 Due to the recent SA Covid 19 Update all organised community sport is cancelled for the next 2 weeks. As such water walking and swim squad is cancelled until further notice. We are awaiting clarification on whether the whole facility must close and whether lap swimming may continue. We apologise for the inconvenience! Stay safe everyone.

Swimming pools may be used by the public for swi...mming or other activities, as long as the density requirement is complied with, up to a cap of 50 people in a swimming pool at any one time. If you cant do Sunday arvo there is also the option of Sunday morning in Jamestown, so please get in touch if you need us to arrange another time for you. 20.01.2022 Pool is open for what is likely to be the last recreational/rostered opening of the season due to the weather forecast for the next week.

19.01.2022 At this point the pool remains open and advice is that a properly chlorinated and filtered pool is safe to use. Many pools are closing due to the number of people that use the facilities daily. We ask that you continue to practice good hygiene and do not enter the facility if you are feeling unwell, as per our normal health guidelines. Also social distancing is to be implemented. The committee will meet asap to discuss the final date for the pool for this season and whether it needs to be brought forward.

10.01.2022 WATER WALKING will begin next week! Every Tuesday and Thursday at 10am at the Spalding Swimming Pool. Low impact exercise in a friendly environment for people of all ages and abilities. Exercise at your own pace, no pressure! $5 entry or a current season’s ticket.... Some people have expressed interest in having a weekend session. If you are keen please let me know what day/ time would suit and we will see if there is enough interest to make it happen. Contact Paula Gill-Kriesl for more info.

09.01.2022 After a cool week the pool hasn’t been open much, but it is today! Get down and have a splash. If you feel a bit chilly after have a hot shower to warmup! Thats right...hot water in the showers. Lads, feel free to have a shower in the disabled bathroom as the mens change-rooms haven’t had their make over yet...but good news is it is happening!!!

Remember at least one supervisor is required for each opening for lap swimming so please if you can put your hand up to become a pool supervisor as well. 02.01.2022 Hello Pool Users, Apologies for the late notice, but the Spalding Swimming Pool is officially closed for the season as of the end of today, Friday 20th March. Thank you to everyone that has supported our great facility this season and enjoyed its beautiful blue waters. Our pool doesn’t open without a very dedicated group of volunteers. Thank you to Butch Semmler for being the ever reliable pool operator and Trevor Kriesl for being the support operator. The pool operator r...ole is vital to our pools clean and healthy water and is a daily job, amazing volunteers. Thank you to Leigh Dunlevy for keeping the grounds in amazing shape, clean bathrooms and bowling green lawns are his specialty and are often thankless jobs, but we truly appreciate your efforts. Thank you to all of the supervisors for opening everyday and coordinating lap swimming and water walking activities. Thanks also to the committee for all that you do behind the scenes, Chrissy White, Rach Trengove, Amy Trengove, Ben Browne, Colin Goode, @Butch Semmler, Claire McEnroe, Ruth Sommerville.
