19.01.2022 In 2008, ProudFoot Consulting released their findings from an extraordinarily comprehensive global productivity research initiative. In this report, ProudFoot found that Australian employees are unproductive with nearly 23% of their time across the board. While Australia was the best performing country in this metric, Australia was the worst performing country in measures being taken to reclaim that unproductive time, leaving on average ~46% of all potential productivity gain...s untapped while emerging economies like China, Russia and India were all letting less than 15% slip by. 17.01.2022 Test-driven development (TDD) is a software development approach which encourages comprehensive forethought of the requirements of code before any functioning code is written. It achieves this by requiring the developer to write code which compares the expected result of a small piece of unwritten code, such as a function or improvement, with the actual result. The tests are written before the code which they are to test is written. By implementing TDD methodology, a software... development team can significantly reduce the incidence of bugs. A study conducted by T. Bhat and N. Nagappan on the Windows networking team, and on the MSN division at Microsoft in order to analyse the efficacy of Test Driven Development found that whilst development time increased 15-35%, errors per thousand lines of code were reduced by a factor of 2.6-4.2 (62-76%).
