23.01.2022 *Not your every day before/after post........* My pantry drawers were full of containers that didnt serve me well. Perfect in my last house where I had a huge walk in pantry, not so much at Sparkle HQ. Ive been hanging on to them because a) Tupperware b) $$$ and c) Ive been collecting them since I was 19 so theres a sentimental element there. Anywhooo for the last almost 2 years Ive disliked opening these drawers. I wasnt sure what that unidentified white powder was... flour? S/R or plain? Cornflour? Baking powder? Not anymore. I open the drawer and instantly see what I need. I felt lighter and happier when I saw the end result of this. 22.01.2022 Ok, so now that I have your attention... * * *... * * * * As a business owner it is frustrating when I have to chase clients for payment. I am very grateful that 90% of our regular clients pay on time and some even like to race me and pay before I send the invoice! However, this post is for the other 10% I like to think of it like this. You go get your nails done, go grocery shopping and have the dog washed. You wouldn't dream of telling the nail tech, the check out person or dog groomer, that you will just pay when you get around to it. It doesn't work like that and the same goes for cleaning. You are provided a service and it should go without saying that payment is due on the same day as your clean. All of our cleaners work very hard in your homes and I pay them each week for the hours they have cleaned. As much as I love all our clients I DO NOT WANT TO PAY to have your house cleaned. 15.01.2022 Building or Renovating? CHECK OUT Sparkles TOP TIPS for making cleaning a BREEZE 1. Have large functional laundry tubs and kitchen sinks. We got ours from ebay for 1/3 of the price of other retailers. 2. Where you can, have cupboards with no handles. So much quicker to wipe down. We did this in the bathroom and kitchen. Darker laminate kitchen cupboards are harder to clean. Trust me. 3. Use drawers instead of shelves 4. Concrete flooring. No streaks/no chips/no... dirty grout. This was much cheaper than tiling too! 5. Dont use white grout in the bathrooms. Tile to the ceiling for a clean look. 6. Ensure there is plenty of ventilation in bathroom to keep mould away, with plenty of windows or an exhaust fan. 7. Keep mirrors/glass to a minimum in bathrooms for quick cleaning. Our mirrors were $20 from Kmart and there are no shower screens to stress about (this should be number the number 1 tip ) 8. Allow room to hide the bins and make sure theres enough room for laundry baskets in bathrooms. 9. Built in shelves in the shower look nice and keep products off the floor where bacteria starts to grow (that pink stuff on your shampoo bottles) 10.
