18.01.2022 Change sometimes happens for a reason. We often don't understand at the time. Hindsight is wonderful as we look back on the path we have traveled. If these events didn't happen we would now be in a different place. This is one of my poems from that path.

15.01.2022 Life isn't a fairytale but we often dream of how we would like it to be. This one is just that. A poem I wrote to express the thoughts and desires about a special person that lives in my heart.

12.01.2022 Getting close to birthdays and Christmas has me thinking about family. I wrote this over a year ago and finally decided to add it to an image.

09.01.2022 Sometimes we give people a second chance because we had a connection previously. We then learn what we want or why it would never work. Just because you love someone doesn't mean you're meant to stay with them. We can love that person from a distance and not pursue a romantic connection. This was written about a love that came back and the emotions that surrounded it.

09.01.2022 This one also a memory of times past. Emotions are often a roller coaster of highs and lows. Even more so when there is a romantic component. We are often torn between what our emotional heart feels and our logic head tells us. Experiences can bring raw emotions and fears to the surface

06.01.2022 I know someone that is lost and struggling with some strong emotions at the moment. This was written for those that could see something was wrong but didn't know how to address it. So they could show, they may not understand the battle going on with a friend but they will be there to lend a hand.

05.01.2022 With New Year fast approaching do you need to tell someone how you feel? Is there someone that invades your thoughts day and night? Maybe it's time for a leap of faith and tell them how they make you feel. Is your New Years resolution to end your single life with someone special? A poem for Christmas to start things moving. 03.01.2022 The sun is shining so bright Confined inside isn’t right The things I love to do off limits This Corona Virus certainly inhibits Isolated from those I love most... Leaves me feeling empty & soulless like a ghost The activities that bring me joy & make me sing No sign of their return our when to begin Rooms our venues with friends, music & dance Are what I need for life to again enhance Our lives will never be the same New habits will have to remain Soon our world will open more doors For awhile keeping makers on our floors Keeping our distance in public still Talking through screens, paying no contact bills No large gatherings or public affection Personal hygiene paying strict attention Smiles still hidden behind face masks When will it be safe so many ask At least I can get back to the beach Keeping people at a double arms reach See more

03.01.2022 It’s been awhile since I have written a poem but with loved ones separated from people they care about and recent conversations about emotions it inspired this one. For those missing someone or feeling all alone may you find the faith that everything happens when it’s meant to happen. . I’ve loved and lost a few Learning by mistakes it’s true... Never bringing the lost into the new Believing love the cure to all I’ve been through Some were ever so brief In time showing them a thief Heartaches and disappointments found Giving them a chance to develop and stick around They wanted to put me in box and or change me These flags for me, were easy to see Some thought they knew all they needed Or didn’t take the warning heeded The times I should have left before it started They blamed my marriage that had parted I’ve loved and lost, remained alone Waiting for the heart to call home The truth is it was never my past I wanted something to last I married a man I thought I knew It ended and I learnt something it’s true You can love someone that is not meant to be So you can love them and set them free Although they still hold that place in your heart You are just better, when you are apart Loving someone is not always a reason to stay Your world can fall apart in just one day For the longest time I shut down my heart So no one would ever tear it apart I needed to feel special & be held tight I thought I found it in him & it was right Time showed me what I really wanted A true friendship lacking, I was truly haunted Someone who could tell me the hard stuff That would weather a storm when things got rough The person that really understands me Is worth waiting for and one day will be My walls go up till they can show It was really me they wanted to know Waiting for someone that could capture my brain Knowing that a strong connection would remain When a bond is built from friendship & respect This union would whether any challenge or test The intellectual level I needed to open my heart An indication if it was worthy to pursue or even start A friend that gave me hope this expectation wasn’t to high He set the standard and although I haven’t found that guy I know he’s out searching for me I just have to wait and see See more

03.01.2022 Sometimes people find it hard to express their true feelings. It comes from fear of rejection or simply being shy. How often have we not told someone how we really felt about them. I decided to let people know how I feel many years ago as life is not a guarantee. What if you never got to say how you felt before your time is over? how would you know if they felt the same in return? Life is about taking chances and we are about to enter a season where the death toll on our hig...hways increase and sometimes entire families are lost. So take the time to tell those you care for how you feel. If you would like a poem to express it please message me and we can work on getting your feelings across.
