And as we all know 2020 has thrown some pretty tough challenges at us, forcing us to social distance from those that we love and care for, throwing lives into total chaos. It is bound to take it's toll mentally and emotionally on people. It is important now more than ever that we re connect with people around us and ask the question - R U OK, how are you going, can i help in any way. By asking these simple questions you are opening up a conversation with ...someone who might not feel comfortable opening up without some prompts. It is also important to take time out for yourself and re centre yourself and ground your self. She explained what the Coolamon is used for - Carrying Jarjums - babies, Hunting and gathering food and digging. We can use the Coolamon in the environments to enhance our learning of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Culture. ... 01.01.2022 Today we said a sad goodbye to one of our Friends in Kindy. Hawk brought his mum in who works in the forestry industry. She explained all about her important work and how important forests are for the environment. She showed everyone her backpack full of useful things that she needs in the forest. Hawk also showed us a brown funnel web spider which was preserved in methylated spirits. When held up in the light changed colour. One bite from this spider is deadly in 15 min...utes. Hawk and his mum left all his friends a lovely native plant that can be planted in the gardens. Thanks for being an awesome Kindy friend Hawk and we will miss you
