02.01.2022 Terrific visit to Heidrun Meadery in Point Reyes, near San Francisco. Fields of wildflowers support european and native bees alike (the bumblebees naturally preferring indigenous California poppy). Their care for the land showcased in their mead making. Fine, precise reflections of wildflower and varietal honeys in zero dosage, sulphite free sparklings. The raspberry blossom mead uncannily close in style to blanc de noir champagne.
