19.01.2022 Today we said a sad goodbye to one of our Friends in Kindy. Hawk brought his mum in who works in the forestry industry. She explained all about her important work and how important forests are for the environment. She showed everyone her backpack full of useful things that she needs in the forest. Hawk also showed us a brown funnel web spider which was preserved in methylated spirits. When held up in the light changed colour. One bite from this spider is deadly in 15 min...utes. Hawk and his mum left all his friends a lovely native plant that can be planted in the gardens. Thanks for being an awesome Kindy friend Hawk and we will miss you

She explained what the Coolamon is used for - Carrying Jarjums - babies, Hunting and gathering food and digging. We can use the Coolamon in the environments to enhance our learning of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Culture. ... 12.01.2022 What a busy week this week at Brighton. Lots of water play this week with the warm weather. The babies really enjoyed bathing babies with bubbles. JRS transformed into a DRS surgery as they explored what doctors do. The practiced on Kasey taking temperatures and checking ears before they put their new found skills in practice on the dolls. ... Pre Kindy explored pipes and running water from the top of pipe to the bottom and explored how to collect this water Kindy Had Harry Helper and lots of great construction workers on the job building some great buildings and fixing things

12.01.2022 This week the Kindy children had their last Harry Helper lesson for the year. It was about Basic First Aid. Asthma, Anaphylaxis, Bleeding and Head Injuries. They learnt how to use bandages, what happens when you hit your head really hard and concussions. All about Asthma and how people can have trouble breathing and when you are really allergic to something. Thanks to Harry Helper for teaching young children about basic first aid
