24.01.2022 Practical Vs Pretty We all love that initial feeling of being drawn to something visually pleasing it evokes emotion and feels so good. BUT... Is it practical? Logic often doesn’t kick in straight away, especially when planning for a wedding or event (let's face it we all get carried away!). We often choose first and then when the dust settles we step back and our choice may not always be the most practical (but it is probably oh so pretty!) That is where we come in! We have soooo many amazing options to choose from when organising the infrastructure for your wedding or event but let us be your logical friend who questions the aspects of the event that you may not always think about. For instance; can a truck get access to the property, is the area you are planning to hold the event level and safe, is the room big enough for the style of tables and chairs you are considering, is the table wide enough for banquet?? So many questions but we will ask them all! We will be the logical friend so you can be enjoy the pretty stuff!! PS how pretty is this picture ?? 11.01.2022 Question? How do you know everything you are planning for will work from a logistical standpoint? Will the tables and chairs all fit in the space you have? Kiiiiiinda an important thing to consider! Enter our Scale Floor plans; an invaluable tool!... If you book your furniture and marquee (or just furniture if you have a venue with a structure!), we will ensure you have a scale floor plan of the layout of the furniture. Cannot stress enough how important this is- it speaks to that line we always bang on about that we go that extra mile to ensure your plans will all fall into place- this is super important as, really, would you want to start setting up and realise the tables don’t fit the way you had planned- that sounds like a nightmare our super dooper clients don’t have to worry about! 11.01.2022 We have been using our downtime productively over here (no we haven't been absorbing thousands of pinterest images thankyou!) What we have been doing is creating floor plans and mood boards for all our incredible clients who have their weddings and events coming up. This is a real luxury for us as we normally don't have enough time to proactively do this for our gorgeous clients but we have and we think we might make it one of our thi...ngs that stick around post covid! 08.01.2022 Choosing a venue! Soooo importantto put time and thought into which venue you choose for your event! It determines the look and feel of the event as well as the additional costs, flow of the event, guest numbers etc, local accommodate, incredible vendprs to work with (*wink wink*)... Make sure you tick all the boxes before deciding! It needs to be consistent with the style you are drawn to and of course you budget!! We have a recommended venues brochure we send to our clients if they are looking for venues on the South Coast- there are so many options and we love pointing you in the right direction! 03.01.2022 It is honestly never too early to book. Especially at the moment with people postponing and taking dates in the following season you really need to get your bee-hind into gear! Appreciate it can be all consuming so our suggestion is this- take it slow- if you need a marquee then let’s book that and circle back in a few months and start talking turkey with the style of tables, chairs and tableware. Then a month or so after that we can discuss lighting and wr...ap up a few other bits. We will guide you! You don’t have to know everything right this instant to book but when you do book at least part of what you will need you are in our calendar- quite often we book out of our time, vehicles and staff before we book out of stock- put simply there just are not enough hours in the day during peak wedding season. 02.01.2022 Too often we are looking towards the future and planning the what's next, and what should be that we forget to truly look at how far we have come. It really is all about the journey. For us here at SCPH this picture reminds us of a time when we got to celebrate with no restrictions and really take stock of what we have achieved.... Don't get so focused on the future that you forget to celebrate and acknowledge the past, it is part of who you are and where you have travelled to.
