19.01.2022 We are so proud of Luca Smith who received the Encouragement award for his essay on the famous Italian writer Dante as part of The Italian Education Awards promoted by Il gruppo dell’amicizia in memoria di Enrica Inglese. Luca wrote about Dante’s most famous piece La Divina Commedia and discussed how it was a documentation of Medieval Italy with a wide and dramatic representation of reality. Luca received a certificate, a book on Italy and best of all a cheque for $100 for his wonderful effort. Congratulations Luca!

09.01.2022 Congratulations to Year 12 Drama student Brock who has been nominated for inclusion in the HSC Onstage 2020 program for his Drama performance of 'Metamorphosis'. Brock demonstrated outstanding skills in his highly physical and emotive performance of a man who woke up to find that he had been transformed into a giant insect! The nomination is a huge honour for Brock and a testament to the creative talent at the College.

09.01.2022 Congratulations Year 12 HSC Visual Arts student Yianni Karantonis whose HSC Body of Work Unlived Memories has been nominated for Art Express 2020. His beautifully drawn figurative works perceptively explore two significant individuals, his paternal and maternal grandfathers, both of whom have had a major impact on his life, although he never had the opportunity to meet them.

05.01.2022 November is the month of Remembrance. Our community was offered the chance to contribute to a Remembrance Rock Garden, whereby the name of a loved one was written on a rock and added. This has now become our visual sign of remembrance for November. Rocks can be collected and kept by students at the end of November. We will continue to keep all of our loved ones in our prayers during November. We pray for them and the repose of their souls, and celebrate their lives.

05.01.2022 2020 NAIDOC Week Theme: Always Was, Always Will Be. Always Was, Always Will Be recognises that First Nations people have occupied and cared for this continent for over 65,000 years. First Nations people are spiritually and culturally connected to this country. This country was criss-crossed by generations of brilliant Nations. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples were Australia’s first explorers, first navigators, first engineers, first farmers, first botanists, fi...rst scientists, first diplomats, first astronomers and first artists. Stories are powerful and Australia has the world’s oldest oral stories. At St Patrick's we would like to acknowledge the traditional owners of the land we walk on and celebrate their history and achievements in NAIDOC week.
