23.01.2022 ---LONG APPRECIATION POST ALERT--- We have come to the end of our workshop this weekend and oh what a journey it has been! During covid we have managed to run a workshop of new musical The Lorelei and The Siren using zoom sessions (and thanks to restrictions easing just a little) a socially distanced workshop day at the Geelong Palais. I would like to start out with a HUGE thank you to the entire team at HOPE. New Work Development Initiative - James M Millar, Meg Deyell, Rob...ert Trips and our main man Christian Cavallo. This initiative came at a time when we all needed it most, and I hope you continue doing brilliant work like this for many more years to come! A massive thanks to those in the creative team including our wonderful MDs Loclan Mackenzie-Spencer, Simone Bishop & Lucy O'Brien. Undertaking a musical workshop of this scale is massive and it would not have been possible without your support and expertise! To all our amazing actors thank you for generously giving you time, energy and talent to this workshop. Thank you to Andre Jewson, Annie Aitken, Barry Mitchell, Bianca Louise, Cameron Steens, Cameron Stretch Cunningclam Taylor-Millar , Conor Leach , Genevieve Kingsford , Lachie Graham , Lachie Hewson, James Coley, Jennifer Vuletic, Judi Johnson, Maureen Andrew, Michaela Powell, Penny Larkins, Troy Suss and Willow Sizer. And finally a thankyou to the writer Geoff Wallis, writing a musical takes a lot of time and energy. I am so proud of you for pushing through this year and completing your first draft. I can't wait to see what happens next! A special thanks go out to Australian Cultural Fund for their support of this project and to everyone who donated to the development! This process would not have been possible without the support of everyone involved. Creative Development is so important to enable us to create interesting, original and inspiring theatre in Australia, and at a time when Art is being so unappreciated, your support is the greatest gift you could have given us. 01.01.2022 This time last year we had just opened our first show with this incredible group of humans! We originally planned to be opening another this very week, but 2020 had other ideas. Until it is safe to do so we shall have to keep our exciting plans to ourselves and reminisce the joy the of live theatre until we can take the stage once more together.
