25.01.2022 The original Robb Jetty was built in the late 1870s as part of an informal outer harbour for the Fremantle shipping trade. Until 1894, when the jetty was extend...ed, any cattle brought down from the Kimberley had to be pushed off the side of the steamships and swum ashore, herded by men in dinghies! The first abattoirs were built beside the jetty in 1899, beginning an era of huge growth and industry for the Cockburn coastline. More about the early days of Robb Jetty: http://bit.ly/2HhgMHy
