24.01.2022 Hi everyone! What a crazy time is has been and still is. I hope you are all well and safe. I think we've all done a fantastic job and if anything it has gjven us a chance to appreciate things a lot more. We are settling in to somewhat of the 'new normal', but im so glad the gyms are open and in operation again.... I spend a lot of time in the outdoors and am a passionate hiker and adveturer, so I loved getting out about as much as I could during these times, but the gym has always been more than a place of fitness and health for me. I found my people and place within a gym. It can sometimes take some time to find the right one or the right vibe, but when it does, you'll know. Anyway, enough of that. After some time away due to family reasons and covid I have had quite a few people asking me if I am still doing PT. I've been contemplating it and today I made the decision to offer some PT again. The only downside is that my availability is quite limited :( but i would still encourage you to get in touch so we can see if something will work, and if not, i would love to help with finding you a space to train or a trainer...or even just have a chat. Ill post more soon with some great deals, but for now it's great to be back and I can't wait to get started. Thanks Nikki

22.01.2022 2021 is here. We're 4 days in hopefully things are going well so far Lets talk GOALS!! These kind of goals are the ones you set to achieve something you might have been thinking about for a while or maybe its the whole 'New years' reset, either way, you need to create little steps along the way to achieve the ultimate!!... It could be... Work Health Fitness Savings Personal challenge ... Anything! Make them realistic, be corageous and finally make it happen! Now is the time to MAKE IT HAPPEN! "If you want it, you've got gotta put in the work!! For my current clients, start having a think of your 'whys' and 'hows'. What is it that you want to achieve in relation to your health and fitness??? It may be weight loss, walking that 5 or 10km, participate in an event, general health and wellbeing, being able to do a push up on your toes... Maybe even 10, beat an old time.... Or simply have some fun and move Whatever it may be, start thinking about it as I'll be touching base with all of you over these coming few weeks! And if one of your goals is health/fitness related, maybe one of your goals is to get a program, a trainer, step inside a gym, start a new hobby, buy a bike. Happy to be contacted in regards to any of these, even if its advice on finding a gym or trainer, where to start or changing habits. You may have noticed our Wynyard Foreshore RD (Run Director) team is a little light-on at the minute due to work commitments which has me...ant a change in people’s availability. We would really love to build a strong RD team that would mean that some of our frequent vollies and RDs get a run every so often and that more types of parkrunners are represented in the event team we’d also love if we had a bunch of people who only wanted to Run Direct infrequently, say, once a month, once every second month, only on Saturdays in winter, only on Saturdays when it’s a full moon... whatever you feel comfortable with. It’s a rewarding role, and we’ll train you. Importantly you don’t have to even DO much! Your main job is to make sure *someone* can do each task. *you don’t have to do public speaking, there’s only 40 or so people each week *you don’t have to be great with technology *you don’t have to be a leader *you don’t have to make all the decisions *you don’t have to know all there ever is to know about parkrun *you probably should like people and love parkrun Some people like to RD with a partner, your kids, your BFF, your doggo (on a short lead, of course!) whatever works. You will have the support of a very grateful Event Director, & our 1 other RD, and the whole parkrun community, both here and worldwide. Can’t beat that!!! Interested? Curious? 08.01.2022 You have enough time... And I know family and pets and a few other important ones aren't on there, but you get where im going. Its doesnt even have to be 7hrs, it could be 3.5hrs. Half hr everyday that you set aside to move, go for a walk, do yoga, stretch, breathe.... Just move. Do it for you!!

03.01.2022 Hey Groovers and Shakers, It's been a wonderful few months so far getting the opportunity to help others work towards their health and fitness goals. I've met some truly awesome people whom I can happily call friends (even if there is some abuse thrown around at times, haha) Unfortunately though, my time working as a PT here in Wynyard will be cut a little shorter than I had hoped. ... Due to some curve balls that life has a habit of throwing, some other things will take priority for me for a little while and time will not allow both right now. I plan to finish up on the 30th November, but this is not an excuse for anyone to give-up. I will be offering some awesome deals as we make way into Spring and get into gear for the summer months. There is still plenty of time to get up, show up and get some motivation back. This definitely saddens me, but its not forever and unfortunately you will still my face around :/ I want to say a SPECIAL THANKS to... MANDY BARNES, your kindness and zest for life is truly inspiring and I am so very grateful to have met you. MY WONDERFUL CLIENTS, for sticking with me, but most importantly sticking with it for yourself. you are all rockstars!!! MY FAMILY, for all your support, help and courage.
