20.01.2022 As the 2020 year is coming to a close, this is the perfect opportunity to say a BIG ‘thank you’ for your tremendous support over the past few months in particular. It’s been a turbulent time in the travel and event industry, as you will no doubt be aware. Our business was decimated alongside all other travel agents, event companies, tourism operators, hoteliers and wholesalers due to COVID 19. No one in our industry has been immune. When you’ve grown a business for almost 23 ...years, this is heartbreaking and I won’t sugar-coat it, it’s been a very difficult time; definitely not the 2020 we were all excited about at the beginning of the year! BUT, and this is a BIG ‘but’; I have been completely blown away and overwhelmed by the response and support from my clients, friends and family. You’ve all been patient in waiting for refunds or credits to be processed, you’ve all asked how you could help or support, you’ve all been supporting our latest venture Sunshine Boxes which will help carry us through as it will still be a long while before international travel is back on track. This is an exciting venture that is all focused on supporting Sunshine Coast businesses and we are proud to be a part of this! Right now, Spectacular Events is back immersed in many travel and event 'green shoots' and lots of positive opportunity for 2021 which is exciting and I personally am so so grateful for this.
