24.01.2022 Dear All, Unfortunately the time has arrived for me to stand down in my role with the special needs academy. My eldest son has soccer at the highest level for his age ground and that now consumes every Sunday through to 7pm and travel. I have juggled this where I can this year but now with his increased level in the national league it is just not possible. I appreciate the opportunity and am proud of what we created with the support of the REBELZ basketball club. Thank yo...u. In the way of general handover, Anthony will remain the main man as president of REBELZ. He does need help though and someone to send the text message and communicate. I believe most can do this better than me. Next season will be back at Mill Park and hopefully that improves numbers. Today I understand only 3 turned up. In closing for some reason this txt app I'm using is now gone 'group' for some reason. Thanks for allowing me to be involved with the kids and when I get a week off soccer I will most certainly pop in for a sessions. Signing off Coach Daz.

11.01.2022 Dear All Superstar Basketballers, Lee will now be the admin on this page and communicate with your guys here. I have discussed with Lee this morning and I will do a few little training drills videos here for you too. Stay safe and look forward to seeing you guys throughout the year. Coach Daz.

11.01.2022 Hi guys - here I am sharing the text of last week's SMS. I'll be reaching out again next friday to say hello. If anyone has any communication they wish to share in this group: photos or stories or a hello you are welcome to let me know! Hello special needs basketballers. We miss you and hope everyone is staying safe and staying well. ... I would like to check in with you every two weeks and suggest a you tube video you guys might like to watch with ideas for practice at home. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I6EdJWwcm-c Here's this weeks video. The voice over is not too exciting but the drills are very good. If it's too hard to do it with a basketball, your kid might find it easier with a smaller ball or a balled up pair of socks, beanbag, their water bottle etc. Have fun with it. As you know my twins are 7 and both have autism, we have been using a social story to help them understand why we are staying home and how to stay safe. If anyone needs support or wants to chat I'm always happy to share what is working for us and not working for us, plus ideas for structuring the day that don't drive us crazy. Hang in there everybody Lee
