Honestly my first time creating a floral crown over 12 months ago at my close friend's hens party at @petalmetsugar It was my first hands on experience of bundling, putting flowers together and how to secure them tightly so that it doesn't slowly fall apart for the rest of the day.... It gave me perspective of how florists select flowers, what suits with other different floral types and how they securely put it together. I bow down to florists and sending love your way! It's a lot of physical strength required, and I applaud your passion and amazing work! 16.01.2022 "... Because of COVID " It dampens our mood if we have to cancel an event. Not just the excitement and hype towards a celebration, but also all the PLANNING and effort put in towards an event. ... It is however understandable when we were all thrown into uncertainty in 2020 because of COVID. I was there too. I planned my 30th birthday party since July 2019. And I did feel negative and unsure since our first wave. And just as we entered our second wave in July 2020, I was so upset when I decided to postpone the event with NO idea when we could proceed, if we ever did. I was even considering cancelling it all if our COVID situation was out of control by now. But with HOPE and PRAYERS, our restrictions started to lift once more in October, and I was back in the swing of planning and coordinating the rest of my birthday party journey. 09.01.2022 Have YOU ever had a moment where you had hopes to do something but you felt like you got shut down? I did, and it sucked at that time. #badtimes When I had an optometrist interview in Sydney, I was asked what I like to do in my own time. I said "I am growing my wedding and events planning business in Sydney. So if you have any social events like a work Christmas party, I can look after you!"... I got laughed at and then "oh really". #scoff #youarenotbeingserious Thanks to that point in time, I am grateful to say it really is true that my business has grown. Stressed because there is so much to set up in such small little time? Everyone frantic, running around, arguing, and angry when people are not picking up urgent phone calls? If you answered YES to any of the above, READ ON! #keepreading #lightreading The day of the wedding and event seem distant, but you have time NOW to work out the schedule for the day to run smoothly. 1 Give plenty of time to move from 1 thing to another, whether it be set up, activities, tasks, etc. 2 Consider the amount of time needed to travel between different locations and number of tasks that need to be done. What time of day are you travelling? Will there be only a few or many turns between locations? What is the mode of transportation? How about... traffic? #dontgetmestarted 3 Ensure you give yourself plenty of time and space out the schedule throughout the day. 03.01.2022 NO EVENT IS THE SAME ...Or to my eyes only. Every client or patient to me is different, and I never assume that each person wants the same thing and expectation towards their event or wedding. So I find every event to be different, challenging yet fun every time, as if I am starting with a blank canvas.... After drawing out my designs with approval from my clients, I spend a lot of time looking into selecting suppliers based on WHAT is needed to make this event memorable. If you really have a closer look, EVERY supplier is different. Such as: 1 Prop hire suppliers have their own prop variety 2 Do food creators bake just cakes or cookies or a large assortment of dessert? 3 Do florists only provide natural flowers, and/or silk, and/or artificial arrangements? 4 What is the size of letter and number blocks that you are looking for?
