You see, I worked with Carol SEVENTEEN years ago when I first started out as a baby Office Junior in a private gastroenterology practice. Carol has so much experience it’s not even funny, and to be able to offer her some flexible work from home is such a privilege. 24.01.2022 The current bushfire crisis is completely harrowing, and although I don’t proclaim to know much about politics, I do know about leadership. Unfortunately, it seems Australia is not seeing much of this from our government at the moment. On our walk this morning, my son and I looked up at the trees to see if we could spot any koalas, we looked at the smoke hazed sky, and he played on the fire engine at the park. It all got me thinking; I could definitely donate $20 to our firi...es, but there is actually much more that I could do From what I understand, most of the financial aid has come from our every day Aussie’s with money that they have already paid their tax on. It would be nice to see our taxes redirected from the government’s pockets and to the bushfire crisis, but unfortunately they feel that a new fleet of BMW’s for our politicians is also important. We are incredibly fortunate, though, to live in a country where the people are banding together in a time of need. Seeing people reach into their pockets that are close to empty after Christmas is incredible. Like many other small business owners, I have a little bit of money set aside for tax time. I could sit on this money and let it earn some interest like I planned before I pay my bill in July, OR I could donate some and claim it as a tax deduction. If other small businesses did the same, we automatically have control of where our tax money is going, and most importantly it will get there immediately. Lets set a good example for our children and future leaders. Show them the news or the Facebook posts, tell them how lucky we are to have courageous fire fighters, teach them that community is more important than money. It is scary to think that with the way our government is leading us, there may be no country left for them. Our donations have gone to the NSW Rural Fire Service & SA Country Fire Service. 15.01.2022 Things have been quiet on the Facebook front, but very busy behind the scenes. I am happy to share that we are now a team of 3, working for 11 doctors. A couple of people have asked me exactly what is it that we do, so I thought I would share for those who want to know. To put it very simply, after a specialist doctor sees a patient they dictate a letter back to the patients GP, or sometimes other practitioners. What we do is listen to those dictated audio files and type the... letters for the doctor. This is known as transcription or audio typing. Doctors might choose us over employing their own typist for several reasons including (but not limited to) a fast turnaround and eliminating the HR management. We work completely from the comfort of our own homes and usually outside of business hours, which works well for both us and the doctors. - Tammie
