23.01.2022 The Works for Queensland program is delivering important local projects for communities right around the state, including Gladstone. The Gladstone Aquatic Centr...e is one of 520 projects delivering more than 4,600 jobs across the state through our $200 million COVID Works for Queensland program. Local infrastructure investment like this $1.2 million upgrade, which will provide 13 local jobs, is a key part of Queensland’s plan to create jobs and rebuild the state’s economy. The upgraded pool will provide access to adult changing facilities for local residents living with a disability and provide much needed upgrades to the facilities for the Gladstone Gladiators Swimming Club. The program builds on the success of our $600 million Works for Queensland initiative which has already delivered more than 19,000 jobs across regional Queensland.
