16.01.2022 More about Specky Stars. Specky Stars initially was a dream to connect people that may have a disability come together and have fun connecting over a cuppa in a play gym environment. The play gym would be open to the general public at a reasonable cost and would be designed with sensory aspects and therapy equipment in mind. I haven't given up on this dream, however with the current Covid crisis and the challenge of finding a suitable location, I have had to adapt the idea a...nd build on my skills in a 1:1 support ratio. I am enjoying tailoring support session to what the client's passions and strengths are and making it all about them. I have all the relevant checks and Aust Gov. Mandatory training for Covid19. If you are interested in booking a session or would like to get to know my skills and experience a bit more, More details can be found on the Mabel or Hire Up platform. You can follow the link for Mable below: https://app.mable.com.au/carer/sherriene or Hire-up: https://app.hireup.com.au/profile/2/5e3b075828661db3f94183f1 With Thanks & Stay Safe x Sherrie
15.01.2022 Recently I have been reading up on the benefits of free unaided...yes... unaided play. The benefits are widespread. But how do we do in the current climate? The International Play Association have some fabulous information on how to incorporate opportunities for play at home. Happy dreaming and creating!
