18.01.2022 Reading can be an easy way to promote speech in children. Through reading children can learn the sounds of each letter and word. Repetition of sounds and words can help to broaden vocabulary. The following image is how you can help your child’s speech through reading. 06.01.2022 International Stuttering Awareness Day 2020 October 22 was designated International Stuttering Awareness Day (ISAD) in 1998. The day is intended to raise public... awareness of the millions of people; one percent of the world's population who have the speech disorder of stuttering. The American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) defines stuttering as an interruption in the flow of speaking characterised by repetitions (sounds, syllables, words, phrases), sound prolongations , blocks, interjections, and revisions, which may affect the rate and rhythm of speech. If you think your child stutters, get help from an SLP as early as possible. Early help can reduce the chances that your child will keep stuttering.
