09.01.2022 PUBLIC NOTIFICATION Dear Redline Raceway Fans, Racers and Officials/Volunteers, It is with great difficulty that Belmont Speedway Drivers Club make this communi...cation with you to inform you that in line with the national health officer Brendan Murphy’s communication that all gatherings expected to be greater than 500 people or more should be cancelled or locked down, we have come to the decision with social conscious first and financial repercussions second, that we must close our venue for four to six weeks. What this means is that any scheduled programming within that period of time will need to be considered for re-scheduling or cancelled if no arrangement this season is possible. Our club committee will sit together next week and start to reach out to our valued scheduled competitor groups and try to re-schedule as many of the big events we had planned and as much racing for our club members as practical in the events to close out the season. We will start to make public announcements of these changes and keep everybody informed once we know a re-start date and the programme for that date. It is possible that a season may not re-commence we hope that is the not the decision we are left to make, however our information at this time says it maybe possible to break for four to six weeks. It is terrible circumstances for us all, however we are sure you agree that it is the only outcome possible considering our government’s recommendation with regards to the concerns. Sincerely Committee of BSDC Inc

05.01.2022 Sprint Cars and Midget wipeouts are much like Surfing wipeouts. You hate seeing it but you also can't look away. It's the crazy part of the sport that keeps us ...all humble. In and out of the water. Good thing our good friend "Racin' with DO" was committed all of those years to shooting this great sport! See more

03.01.2022 NATIONAL MODIFIED SEDAN TITLE POSTPONED Official Release: 13 March 2020 Speedway Sedans Australia wishes to advise that the SSA National Modified Sedan Title ha...s been postponed. After today’s Australian government announcement regarding COVID-19 and ‘non-essential’ organised mass gatherings of more than 500 people being banned, the team at Carrick Speedway and Speedway Sedans Australia have no other option but to postpone next weeks National Modified Sedan Title. This decision has not been made lightly and is in accordance with the Australian government’s recommendation for public events. Given there is no time frame when the government’s ‘ban’ will be lifted, further details when or if the title can be rescheduled will be announced in due course. At the time of writing, the National Street Stock Title being held at Latrobe at Easter, is still going ahead as planned, however Speedway Sedans Australia and the Latrobe venue management will be in constant communication with the relevant authorities and will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely. While there remains a lot of unanswered questions with this press release, it is important that drivers and crews planning on heading to Tasmania over the next couple of days can now make alternative arrangements. Speedway Sedans Australia would like to sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by this decision. Ends Release.
