23.01.2022 It is so important to make sure your electrical system is safe and to standards. Rcds or safety switches should be checked regularly. The Equipotential bond which is where your earth wire is connected to your tap (metal parts) before being connected to a main earth stake should be checked that the clamps have a good connection without corrosion. ... These are just a couple things which could help prevent incidents like this happening. If you are unsure if your electrical system is satisfactory call a qualified electrician to have it checked.
