19.01.2022 So, Ive been a bit quiet on FB for some time because I have been heavily involved in the construction of a beautiful property 100Kms from Perth in association with Architect Nicholas Burns. All the timber in the home is local Marri with a lime-wash and oiled finish. I really like the contrast with the Italian marble tops and rammed earth walls. Hope you enjoy the album, please share with friends.

08.01.2022 About eleven years ago I was commissioned to make a ceremonial Mace from Western Australian timbers by the Dean of Murdoch University. They recently commissioned two more that will regularly travel to Singapore and Dubai for graduation ceremonies. My wife had taken a snap of me holding my eldest daughter and the original Mace and we thought it would be fun to recreate the photo.

06.01.2022 Its been a hectic month, I have divided my workshop roughly in half and moved the sculptor Tim Macfarlane Reid in. I have moved all my benches and small machines into the street front building leaving the big equipment behind as a dedicated machine shop. This also included fitting a new roller door and fixing the old sliding door below. Thanks to friends and family for their hard graft in helping me shift 15 years worth of collected timber and machinery. Especially Johnny, Timmy, JeZ, Justin and Rob!

06.01.2022 I got asked to make a timber motorcycle seat last year for a bloke who was building a hand made show bike. I used a technique to stack laminate the individual pieces of Tuart into the rough shape then carved and sanded to the finished seat below.
