25.01.2022 I will be at the Mundaring Markets this Sunday 13th April '14 so if you are looking for some freshly ground spices be sure to visit my stall. Check out my new spice blend 'Bursting Seeds'. Toasted sesame seeds, macadamia nuts and lemon myrtle are blended together with a hint of Tasmanian Pepperberries and Murray River salt flakes. Sprinkle over steamed baby carrots, broccoli, spinach and pumpkin and use to coat chicken breast. Delicious. Also look for my packs of fresh lemon myrtle and freshly ground Tasmanian pepperberries.
24.01.2022 This Sunday I will be at the Stirling St markets. I have just received some new season Tasmanian pepperberries direct from the grower in Tasmania so now is a great opportunity to purchase them for all your slow cooked winter dishes. Call in at my stall and have a free tasting of my Baharat Mushrooms with Risoni. See you there.

20.01.2022 Having some friends over for drinks? Here is a very simple but tasty cocktail treat to serve with your drinks. Place a bowl of semi-drained cherry bocconcini, a bowl of olive oil and a bowl of za'atar on a paddle board with a small glass container of toothpicks. Let your guests skewer a cherry bocconcini then dip it into the olive oil then the za'atar. Delicious. You only need small decorative bowls and maybe a flatter dish for the bocconcini which can be served on a bed of rocket.
19.01.2022 This Sunday I will be at the Stirling farmers Market in Karrinyup. Come and try my Bush Tomato relish. Wonderful with all your cold meats. I will also have Moroccan hummus and Baba Ganoush (roasted eggplants).Grab a loaf of... Sour dough bread and serve with one of these very tasty dips. See you there. See more
15.01.2022 This Sunday, May 18th I will be at the Kalamunda markets. If you are unable to get to the markets I attend then check out my website and online shop at www.spicefetish.com.au. Last Sunday at the Mundaring markets I made a spicy Ginger and Kashmiiri Pumpkin soup for tasting. It proved very popular and you can find the recipe on my website. Kashmiri goes well with root vegetables. Try cutting a butternut pumpkin into wedges and placing in a flat baking pan. Splash over some olive oil then sprinkle over Kashmiri. Dob with butter and bake. Delicious.
14.01.2022 I will be at the Mundaring markets this Sunday March 9th
13.01.2022 I have just received a fresh batch of Lemon Myrtle direct from the grower. It is considered the 'best of the best' of our fabulous Aussie spices. Did you know that Lemon Myrtle is high in calcium and has 4 to 7 times the oxidant value of blueberries? Add a teaspoon to some lovely Jalna greek yogurt or try making a batch of Lemon Myrtle pancakes. Here is the recipe: 1 cup SR flour, 1 tab lemon myrtle, 250ml of milk, 1 egg, 3 level tab sugar, pinch salt and 1/2 teas carb soda. ...Throw the lot into your food processor and mix until smooth. Cook in small dollops over medium heat for a few minutes. Delicious, especially if served with the Lemon Myrtle yogurt. Note: after adding lemon myrtle to your yogurt, let stand for a few hours or overnight to develop the beautiful lemon flavour. I will be at the Mundaring markets this Sunday 9th June. Hope to see you there! See more
10.01.2022 Hi Kellie, I am no longer visiting Tassie on a regular basis and yes! I can post the Kashmiri and Ras el hanout to you. For mailing purposes I use the stand-up zip bags which hold double the quantity of the jars. The jars are $6 each and the stand-up bags $9. Look forward to hearing from you.
09.01.2022 This Sunday I will be at the Stirling St Farmers markets run by the Karrinyup Rotary Club. The market opens at 7.30am and closes at 11.30am. Hope to see you there.

08.01.2022 I am having so much fun cooking with our Australian bush tomatoes. These raisin size dried fruits grow in the arid regions of Australia and are a rich source of minerals and vitamin C. They have a tomato, caramel and tamarillo flavour that goes well with all tomato based dishes. Try chopping them up and adding to slow cooked dishes and curries. They not only add flavour but also act as a thickener. Use them with chickpeas, tomato based sauces and tomato jams and chutneys. This week I will be at the Old Perth Road markets in Bassendean. Hope to see you there.
