25.01.2022 Thanks very much Heidi for your kind words; I too have really enjoyed you sharing the Spice Nook's space over the past 6/7 months. All the best for the future. xx

24.01.2022 Hi everyone, sorry I've been so slow in getting in touch. Still recovering from the shop closing & having a few health issues too, but all on the improve now. I'm still using computer at the Library - not hooked up at home yet, but shouldn't be too long now Enjoy the rest of the day Cheers :-)

22.01.2022 I forgot to mention that Heidi's Fairtrade items will still be available at Enique Eco Store in Leibig Street Warrnambool (on the right heading towards the Highway)

21.01.2022 These vegetarian meals are quick and easy. How about trying one tonight? Pop by the Spice Nook to pick up some herbs, spices, pulses and nuts. Have a great night and keep warm!

19.01.2022 Jenny will be at Sheehans Meats tomoorow morning. There will stock at reduced prices and you will have a chance to catch up. Im sure she's looking forward to seeing you.

17.01.2022 Will be having a bit of a 'pop-up stall' again at Sheehan's Meats (Butchers in Bank St Port Fairy) for both of the following Fridays (I think that's 22nd & 29th Sept) There will be items from the Spice Nook, mostly Reduced by quite a bit, so come along & have a look, say hello. I'm really looking forward to seeing you. See you then

13.01.2022 A few more was you can reduce your impact on the environment. We have bamboo toothbrushes and pegs. Household brushes made from sustainable timber and coconut fibre. Unpackaged soaps and environmentally friendly cleaning products stopping harmful chemicals from ending up in our waterways.

12.01.2022 Has everyone been watching the War on Waste on ABC? Its great Port Fairy has a plastic bag ban, but there's so many more ways we can refuce our impact. We have some waste minimisation products at the Spice Nook. New in are Honeybee wraps, a sustainable alternative to glad wrap that can be reused, fruit and veg produce bags made from recycled plastic bottles, reusable drink bottles and coffee cups, recycled toilet paper and tissues and paper towels made from sugar cane waste and bamboo.

12.01.2022 LAST DAYS! Sadly, after 9 years the Spice Nook will be closing it's doors at Shop 4, 22 Bank Street Port Fairy on Sunday (23rd July '17) at 5pm. If you're having trouble finding shop, take a stroll down to the end of the laneway between L'edera & the Village Bakehouse. Over the weekend there will be lots of Sale Items at 30% Off, including Photo Frames, Toiletries, Recipe Books, selected Incense & other Gift Items. This will only include Jen's Items, but does not include Spi...ces. So come along & have your final sniff of the very popular Spice Nook smell, say goodbye & have a hunt around while you're in the store. Look forward to seeing you. Many thanks to all my lovely loyal customers, I've enjoyed very much having you all coming into the Spice Nook for whatever reason - browsing, sniffing (& no it didn't mean you had a cold), chatting &/or buying. Unfortunately my new venture won't allow you to come in & browse, however, once set up (not yet sorry) you'll be able to look through Inventory - which will include, Spices, Teas, Local Honey, some Cards etc I'll let you know once I have Business Ph No. organised. I'm planning on taking August to get things going, so please have patience The end of the month is going to be both sad & exciting at the same time. Bye for now :-)

10.01.2022 Could you please Share this Post with all of your Friends. So sorry about the short notice - I've been having quite a bit of trouble with my Facebook page recently.& have not always been able to access it - particularly recently.. Sadly, after 9 years here at the Spice Nook, the time has finally come to close the doors. Thanks very much to our loyal customers, both locals & the many holiday-makers who regularly drop in whenever they're in town. I've really appreciated all the... visits, whether it be to browse, buy or even if you've just come in for a chat. It's all been wonderful. Heidi is going to finish up here at the Spice Nook this weekend (Sunday 16th). If you're unable to make it here at Shop 4, 22 Bank Street before Heidi moves all of her fabulous Fairtrade items back to Warrnambool; look for her at Enique Eco Store, 168a Liebig Street Warrnambool. Then there will be only another week for you to come into the Spice Nook as a retail store. Doors will close at 5pm Sunday 23rd of July. I'm hoping to see as many of you as possible before then. You'd better drop by to have your final smell of all the wonderful fragrances that meld together to give you the overall unique smell of the Spice Nook. After that I'm planning to reinvent the whole Spice Nook idea, by using one of my rooms at home ... not as a shop, where you can come & browse, but setting it up as a Storeroom. From this you'll still be able to purchase all of your fabulous Spices, Teas, & other items such as the quality Murray River Pink Salt, beautiful local Port Fairy Honey (sorry, I won't be posting honey or anything else that is breakable, delivery & pickup only), a limited range of incenses & also some of the other unusual items you're used to seeing at the Spice Nook. Such as the Worry People, quality women's Handkerchiefs, & Greeting Cards featuring photos of Victorian (several from right here in Port Fairy) Wildlife. Details will be fine-tuned between now & September, when I hope to make a start. Orders can be made either by phoning (new phone number will be shared around soon), emailing (ditto, new email address soon) or over the internet (once the website has been produced). So keep an eye out for the Spice Nook from home sometime in early September (hopefully). I'm really going to miss the fabulous colours, the special atmosphere & most of all the lovely people who come through the doors here at the Spice Nook, however I'm also looking forward to new ideas & beginnings. I'll keep you posted. Bye for now :-)
