24.01.2022 The great German composer: Beethoven Enjoy an all-Beethoven concert, with the beautiful Mass in C as its focal point. This lovely mass has always dwelt in the shadow of his later setting, the Missa Solemnis, but it is a remarkable masterpiece in its own right, composed alongside the Fifth Symphony and considered highly by the composer. Simpler and humbler than was fashionable at the time, and setting new directions in settings of religious texts, the Mass in C is now regarde...d as an unfairly underrated masterpiece. Also on the program is the Egmont overture and the rousing Choral Fantasy which will feature the amazing Anthony Smith doing the piano solo, with a fantastic line-up of soloists and full choir. The performers Piano solo: Anthony Smith Soprano: Greta Claringbould Mezzo-soprano: Ellen Malone Tenor: Paul McMahon Bass: Christopher Richardson Conductor: Rowan Harvey-Martin With The Llewellyn Choir and the Llewellyn Sinfonia Where and when Llewellyn Hall 7.30 pm Saturday 6 July 2019 Tickets from Ticketek Adult: $50 Concession: $45 Full time student: $25

13.01.2022 Tots & Tech: Challenges for early childhood in a digital age Friday 18th May (Canberra)... How to deal with devices and screens is one of the biggest challenges for today’s parents. They often look to trusted early childhood professionals for practical advice. But the debates about harms and benefits can make this difficult. This seminar aims to present the latest research about the impacts of screen use on sleep, posture, social, emotional, language and cognitive development, and on using technology to promote healthy play. It will offer practical guidance useful to early childhood health, welfare and education professionals, parents and carers. For more information on speakers please visit www.childrenandmedia.org.au/events/accm-seminars Bookings can be made at www.trybooking.com.au/TLBC

We are particularly excited about a nature playground, yoga in the park, a magical mailbox, and maybe even the most wonderful tree the children can imagine! Plus much more.

01.01.2022 We replaced our inefficient old heaters with efficient reverse cycle heaters, and that reduced our carbon footprint and saves us over $1000 per year. As our young GAP classmates will tell you, that's a fair chomp!
