23.01.2022 The compressor was flooding back and TX valve wound all the way out so I put a smaller orifice. Got the superheat right and the coil was only flooding the first row but the compressor started flooding back worse? so after racking my brain and the only thing I could come up with was there must be liquid getting into the suction line after the evaporator. I followed the suction line and found the liquid line had split inside the suction line and was feeding liquid straight back to the compressor. The picture through the fan is where the liquid line goes into the suction as a heat exchange where the leak was. Ran a new liquid line and set superheat job done. #hvac #refrigeration #airconditioning #hvacr #refrigerationtech
