17.01.2022 "Veterans Mental Health Week TASSIE CREW (If you have mates down in Tasmania send this to them) !! This is a call to All Veterans, past and present, Family ...and Friends of a Veteran. On Saturday the 31st October 2020. The North West Tasmania Veterans Welfare Board with the support of the Wynyard and Burnie RSLs. Are hosting an event for Veterans Health Week. We are holding a Veterans and family day at ANZAC park and the Somerset Surf Life Saving Club. The day is targeted at the Health and Wellbeing of the Veteran Community here on the NWC of Tasmania. The day is a day that the Veteran community can meet and talk with likeminded individuals. During the day a number of Support Agencies will be in attendance; Including: Allied Health Professionals A local Pharmacist Conducting free Blood Pressure and Blood Sugar Testing. Rehabilitation Consultants Talking about Exercise Physiology, Psycho-Social community engagement, Workplace Training and Employment Services. Mindfulness Gurus, Specialising in Yoga, Pilates and Meditation The day will also include (weather dependant), Beach Cricket and Volleyball as well as SLS Training and Safety Demonstrations from the Local Surf Club. Lunch will be provided and a local coffee expert will be in attendance. Yes this is a day that is targeted at the Veteran Community but it is also a day for all members of our community. We hope to see you there.

The layout will be slightly different with ...the entry and exit being in the middle of the market on the pathway side. The roadside will be roped off and we ask all attendees not to go through this area and use the correct entry point. There will be extra signage reminding you to practice physical distancing and we are discouraging consumption of food at the market. See more
